I really need some help!

I hope this makes some sense. A kitten followed me home about three weeks ago. I think she was about 4 weeks old, so now about 7 weeks. She has had trouble pooping since ive had her. At first I thought it was just because she was so little but its still going on. What is happening is that she still will start to go and the poop will only come out a little and we will end up having to pull it the rest of the way out. Its really gross. Yesterday was the worst. I went to clean her up and kind of squeezed her butt a little and it just kept coming. There is also almost always blood around her butt. I dont know what to do. She is getting poop on everything. We are having to keep her locked in the bathroom unless we can just sit there and watch her because I dont want poop on everthing. Any idea on why this is happening?

What food are you feeding her? Sounds like either she is constipated or she might even have worms.

She is on purina kitten food. I know its not the best, she followed me home so I ran to the closest store grab food. She was also on kitten formula until about a week ago. She has been wormed. What should I give her for constipation?

Are you giving her the canned or the hard food? I find that kittens do best on a mixture of both. I also lightly cook eggs for them to eat. They love eggs.

The hard food. We have been softening it until a couple of days ago. I will try that. Thank you. Hopefully I can get this solved so she isnt stuck in the bathroom all the time.
