Switching a toddler to cloth?

Hello mama's! I was wondering if some of you could help me. I am pregnant and due in August, I have a great stash for the new one.

My issue is my 26 month DD. She is not potty trained and honestly, I just don't see it happening. She tells me when she has a poopy and asks to be changed, but with pee she just doesn't get the toilet thing. She pees so often and not all at once. We tried panties and she seemed pretty interested in them and the potty, but once she realizes she has to actually do something in the potty she freaks. I just don't want to push it. She was cded part time as an infant, but she had excema and rash issues and was also a formula baby. I gave up on cding before she was one. My problem is, I am tired of spending the money on diapers. They are ridiculously expensive and I really would like to get some cloth diapers to try on her again. What do you mama's think?

What am I looking at logistically? how many dipes will I need? She is in a 2T in clothes, she is tall and on the thin side. In a size 4 luvs dipey. How many will I need and can I wash them with my EBF newborns dipes? TIA!

Congrats on your upcoming little one! I'd suggest going with pockets for your 2 year old. That way you can customize absorbancy since it sounds like she *can* be a heavy wetter. I'd get ~7/day for her at this point. And they can certainly be washed right along with the new baby's diapers, ebf poop and all You could go with either one size pockets or sized pocket diapers. Since she is on the leaner side, it sounds like she'll probably fit in most one size diapers out there right now.

Have fun picking out a new stash for your 2 year old!

What about waterproof trainers!..Then you don't have to spend money later on.
