Kathyn Joy is here!

Well, it's taken me awhile to post - she was born June 12th at the Eastside Birthing Center in Bellevue, WA. 7 pounds, 4.5 ounces, 22 inches long. For the most part things went smoothly but labor was really tough! She's doing well, and nursing well. Unfortunately, I have a broken tail bone, which is really painful but mostly frustrating, in terms of the things that I cannot do. I've avoided pain medication, which is good that I feel that I can deal without it, so at least I don't have to worry about meds and nursing. If any moms out there have had experience with tail bone issues post delivery, any advice would be appreciated! I'm trying to focus on one day at a time and not think about the how long tail bones usually take to heal - sounds like there isn't any treatment, just have to wait it out.

Congrats on your baby!!! :

And I'm sorry to hear about your tailbone! My friend broke her tailbone in delivery. Her doctor told her "DO NOT go to the chiropractor". However, her chiropractor (who she LOVES and totally trusts) said that's a bunch of garbage, that if you get adjusted the tailbone will heal in the RIGHT place! The key is making sure you get a GOOD chiropractor!

Congratulations. That was where I was planning to have my baby until we decided I needed a c-section, we live right around the corner, so I pass it often and have a little twinge of sadness each time.

Welcome to Kathyn and congratulations on the birth. I didn't even know you could break your tailbone in delivery. I'm so sorry you're dealing with that!
