Just curious if it is more common (for this group anyway) to go into labor at night or not

I'm also adding a "what time of day was the baby born" just for fun

If you haven't had your JuneDDC baby yet, it might be fun to wait and answer when you've had this baby, but of course if you feel like answering for previous births that's fine too.

It's set up for multiple choice.

I think that my water broke, a slow leak earlier in teh dy, maybe around noon on the 12th. But I started to really think that it was broken when we were at the drive-in movies, at about 9pm on the 12th. COntractions were far apart at that point, and I just ignored them. They increased gradually, getting really strong at about 3 Am on teh 13th, but fizzling out around 4 pm. Then my midwives left, and Beatrix decided to really get teh show on teh road She was born at 10 pm on the dot, June 13th by her Daddy's watch

i went into labor at 12am and had my baby at 203am. i had some contractions earlier (around 5pm), but they had stopped by 930-10pm and had not been anything that my rational mind thought was early labor. i seriously passed it off as prodromal labor, but called to have dd picked up anyways and what do ya know? what's funny is that dd didn't get to bed until just before 12am, and i went into full on active labor just after she had gone to sleep (which i didn't know at the time since dd was at her grandparents').

All my other pgs, labor started in late evening & was light enough I slept through a lot of it. Girls were born at 4 pm & 8 pm.

No sign of anything yet with this one so I haven't picked anything off the poll.

Labor started in the evening for me (around 5pm is when I noticed) and baby was born shortly after midnight that night/morning.

Whoops, I voted before reading the what time was baby born portion. Doh! So for that, one baby was born in the evening, but that was after I'd been taken off contraction stopping meds 11 hours before, and they were finally out of my system and baby came flying out after a 2.5 hour dinner time labor. The other two were born in the morning... one was 8:30am and the other was 4am.

I'd had on-and-off cramps most of the day but labor kicked in around 5pm. Babe was born at 3:30am the next morning.

Labor started for me at 8 PM (gush of fluids, but no contractions until about midnight) and Baby was born the next day at 6:50 PM.

Baby was born at 4:02 AM, labour started around 2:00 PM, but was an induction, so I didn't answer that part of the poll.

I felt my first contraction at around 5:00am, and Robert was born at 8:10pm.

It completely surprised my DH, who for some reason really believed that almost all women labored through the night and delivered in the early morning. I joked with him a little after the birth that he didn't have to miss any sleep the way he thought he would, except that he couldn't sleep that night or the next anyway, I'm not sure why.

I answered from DS1.. I went into labor at about 5:30pm and he was born 1:20 am.

When my births happened is irrelevant, because they were all c-sections, but:

DS1: Labour started about 10:00 at night. I was fully dilated by 7:00 the next night.

DD: No labour.

DS2: Labour started about 7:00 or 8:00 in the evening.

Aaron: I thought it started about 4:00 in the afternoon, but that turned out to be "false" labour. Real labour started about 4:00 am a few days later.
