Ugh, this is a HUGE bummer. I thought I was going to get away without being in constant pain this pg.My pg with ds1 was AWFUL the last 3 weeks (from 35w to 38w when he was born). I was miserable because my lower abs HURT constantly. All the time, nothing relieved it even a little bit except for being in the pool. Pillows didn't help, laying, standing, sitting, belly supports, nothing. I cried a lot.
I thought it was because my stomach muscles split, but now I think it might just be round ligament pain, maybe?
So when I passed 35w, 36w, etc etc I thought I was safe this time. Nope, I'm 39w and can feel it starting. It's not to the point of constant pain yet, but I can tell that it's heading the same direction. Gah. Please let this baby be born before I'm in constant pain, all day long, and there's NOTHING I can do to relieve it!!
Seems to me with the 3 weeks of constant pain at the end of my pg with ds1, and the horrific pain of having the doctor manually check *inside* my uterus for retained placenta
(and all the other crap that happened at that birth), that I should deserve to have an easy time this time. The only benefit is that after hurting like the dickens in pg, the labor part doesn't sound NEAR as scary. And I've heard that manual removal of placenta hurts FARRRR worse than natural childbirth, so that gives me lots of hope that I can deal with childbirth without drugs.
