Sling Help! Quick!

Hi ladies! Popping in quickly. We are going to Seattle tomorrow for DH's job interview and I LOST MY sling, my mamma's milk sling. I am so sad because I wanted to use that over the kozy mei tai in the airport. Boohoo. I may stop down to a store near here to find a new one...but I feel silly putting down money for it when we're between jobs and I have a mei tai...DS (8 weeks) sleeps better in the mamma's milk and I like it a little more at this age. Sigh. What else is comparable? The lady at the store I called said the maya wrap is like it...but it's like $65. If you have a maya, do you love it and is it good for this age and versitile?

i'm a petite momma and have been able to use a sarong as a sling.

Not sure if the standard size sarong would work for regular size mommas, but it might be an inexpensive and quick option for you!

the second one on here is kind of what i'm thinking of

otherwise, you may be able to stop at a fabric store and get some cotton gauze, comes on really wide rolls, just cut it in half so it's not as wide and tada, you have a moby style wrap for maybe $15...

I don't understand why they said a Maya Wrap is comparable to a Mamma's Milk. Mamma's milk is a pouch and a Maya wrap is a Ringsling. If you have never used a ringsling before, don't use it for this trip. It has a higher learning curve to it and you need to practice with it. Get another pouch, which is cheaper than the Maya anyway, if what you want is something similar to a Mamma's Milk. Slinglings, Peanut Shell and Hotslings are all comparable brands. Tell us what you end up doing!
