Tell me about your fave pouch: hotsling? Mamas milk? kangaroo korner? other?

Well, I unsuccessfully made a pouch last night and have had it with sewing for now...so I am wondering what the fave pouch carrier is? Adjustable? regular? brand? I have a hotsling that is 3+ years old and has seen better days, so I am looking to replace it for use with my 2nd.

I like the Kangaroo Korner Adjustable Fleece Pouch, unless it's hot (which now its summer) and the baby is too big. I have had issues with my kids leaning back out of it, because of its stretch. I think Hotslings, Peanut Shell and slinglings are so similar, that if you pick a pattern you like, you will be happy. I like Sprout Pouch too, they are reversible and the fabric seems more sturdy than the others, but I could be biased because she is a semi-local (5 hours away) WAHM.

My pouch I made is out of a twill-kahki fabic that has zero stretch, modeled after my hotsling. It is about 1"-2" shorter, and between that and the no stretch, I could probably carry maybe a small stuffed toy in it? Or mayb someone that is 5' tall and no more than 95lb could use it? Its horrible, stiff, and really ticked me off as it was mt second messed up sewing project that day.

Being the glutton for punishment I am, I'm still going to follow your link... LOL...


Peanut shell, that was another one that I had heard of that i've seen on babysteals for cheep that I liked the look of...thanks for the memory jog.

good luck momma! I keep a sling that is too small in my diaper bag in case I run into a tiny momma out at the store or park that needs a sling.
