Why hath my raised beds sucketh?

Ok, my raised beds, where I have hot crops (nightshades, cucurbites & corn), are totally effed. My plants have hardly budged & the leaves are now developing a yellowish tinge. I've never had this problem before!

I was so excited! I thought this year was going to be amazing! I have raised beds & hoop frames! Surely it was going to be better than my typical set up.

My containers look fantastic! Even the plants in the ground are surprisingly lush.

Uggggh! Help!

What sort of soil do you have in your raised beds? Are they getting enough sun and water? Bugs?

The soil is new; a mix of compost, sand, decomposed bark etc, the same mix I used in my containers & to ammend my ground soil. They take in southern exposure (like my containers & ground soil) and are moist, not soggy. No bad bugs.

*le sigh*

Is is possible that the wood was treated with something?

It's untreated

I don't have any advice....but your title drew me in.

The yellowish tinge thing makes me think that there might be too much nitrogen in the soil. Have you tested the nutrients?

Yeah, I'm in denial about the possibility my beautiful compost has a defect...

It's so bizzare.. I have the same soil in my containers which also have nightshades & they are going OFF! I doubled up my plants in the case something like this happened. The PacNW is so dodgy.

Off to test & ammend. Wish me luck!

Good luck!!!

Wish I had some suggestions but I'm stumped too.

No answers here, either, but loved your title, too!

Could you send some soil to be tested? Or could it be verticillium wilt?
