films for a youth film club??

I am thinking of running a film club in the Fall for 12-15 yr olds.

I am searching for titles of films that would be good to dissect for that age group. Any genre. I will probably stay away from "R" rated films -but PG anything is fine. The goal is to watch the film and analysis them (for content, characterisation, lighting, symbolism, etc)

I took a bit of film studies in University - but that was a while ago, lol. Any advice or links, plus a list of titles, are welcome.

I posted on your other thread. I'm a huge film buff, and this sounds like a fun project!

O brother Where Art Thou? is a re-telling of the Odysseus tale. Would make interesting discussion.

Spirited Away is a Miyazaki film that has incredible amounts of both Eastern and Western mythology in it. Skulls, pigs, evil twin... you name it.. it's sure to be in there. Fine for anyone over 10 years old. My dd loves this one.
