I did a search on here and was surprised to turn up very little...

What vacuum do you use?

I just bought a Bissell "Clear Helix" thingy for $75 to replace my old Kennmore in a jam. I REALLY want the Dyson Animal -Ball Vacuum...but I don't have the $400-$500 for it just now

I figure this Bissell will keep us clean enough for a few years at least.

In the interest of the environment and all, I imagine it's best to have a newer model that uses less energy anyway...and utilizes as much energy put out as possible (why the Dyson seems to be worth it).

We have an ancient Panasonic upright that works ok. But it keeps working, so why replace it?

But I looooove my Roomba! It's not good for quick clean-up of a mess, but for doing a whole room, I like it a lot. I have the basic model. I set it loose, close the room door and let it do its thing.

We have a central vac system but if I had to buy one I'd want a Miele... and maybe a Roomba, too, those look pretty cool.

we have a newish Eureka Boss and it's the best vacuum I have ever owned. I'd love to have a Kirby, but this one was affordable and had good ratings.
