Unitarian looking for children's books on Muhammad, Jesus, Buddhism, Paganism, anything spiritual...

I was raised Lutheran and feel that the books and teachings I received early on greatly and positively influenced my beliefs today. I would like to teach my daughter about various spiritual beliefs but am having a hard time finding good children's books on the subject. I am trying to avoid books that claim to preach the one true religion. In reference to Christian books about Jesus I would also like to avoid references to the crucifixion (my daughter is too young to read about that). I would prefer board books since my LO is just over a year but would be open to any suggestions. Thank you.

Muhammad by Demi. She also has other books on Jesus, Buddha, and a variety of prominent historical and religious figures, but I've not personally seen any of those.

You should be able to find just what you are looking for at the UUA Online Bookstore. Here are a few specific recommendations:

Meet Jesus: The Life and Lessons of a Beloved Teacher
Kindness: A Treasury of Buddhist Wisdom for Children and Parents
Ayat Jamilah: Beautiful Signs: A Treasury of Islamic Wisdom for Children and Parents
What If Nobody Forgave (this one is a collection of stories from a variety of traditions including Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, etc.)

If you want one book that presents many different views of God, this is frequently recommended: Hide & Seek With God

And finally, if you want a very simple child-level overview of a bunch of different religions, my daughter and I used this series: Religions of the World (Rosen Publishing Group) Note that there are many more titles in this series than shown on the linked page, and you can probably find a lot at your local library.
