tasteful (natural) toothpaste with fluoride !

hello!

what kind of toothpaste do you use for your toddlers, that is well tasting and contains fluoride???

my dd (3 y.) does not like strong tasting "chemical" toothpastes (those ones with a lot of artificial flavour), so it should be mild tasting.

it should also contain fluoride!

can you recommend a toothpaste? :

Tom's of Maine Silly Strawberry - there's one with fluoride and one without, so if you want the fluoride then make sure you get the right one.

Just wanted to make sure you are aware of the dangers associated with fluoride (plus studies showed it does not prevent cavities)

no, i am not aware. do you want to educate me? and: what else does prevent cavities if not flouride?

Xylitol does a very good job at preventing cavities and it also helps at remineralization of tooth enamel.

I used to use Tom's of Maine Silly Strawberry toothpaste with no fluoride with my kids, but now we switched to Tooth Builder Sensitive Toothpaste (fluoride free), it has 36% Xylitol. My kids like its taste much better than the Tom's of Maine’s one (it has a very gentle pleasant sweet taste).

thats interesting, thanks for the links!

as we live in germany we dont have this problem because water in GE is not supplied with flouride. but for our trip to the us i will definitely keep that in mind!
