Sunday I signed up for a 5k the following Sunday (June 28th) so I decided I should probably attempt 3 miles non-stop. I walked 1/4 mile for warm up. Ran 2 miles. Walked another 1/4 mile. Ran 1/4. Then sprinted the last 1/4. Then walked another 1/4 to cool down. I did it all in 45 minutes. I really don't care to come in 1st but I really don't want to come in last. This is a benifit 5k to raise money for a local youth group so it's a run/walk. I'm still nervous. I can't help it. Tonight I'm going to do the 3 miles again and then Friday I'm going to run it outside as long as it's not 102 degrees again! (but it's not supposed to be hot this weekend, thank goodness!) So 45 minutes ok?
