Arthur was born at home Monday Morning

The end of the pregnancy was really hard but I finally went into labor on my own and had my son Monday morning at 41 weeks and 2 days. First time I've had a baby before 42 weeks!

Haven't had a chance to type up the birth story but the short version is that I started having contractions Friday night along with bloody show and mucus. They continued Saturday and Sunday but they were very spaced out. At first I thought this was really frustrating but then I decided that God knew what he was doing and that having plenty of time to relax between contractions was much nicer than having them back to back. I only hoped that when active labor started, it would be quick and easy. And it was! Sunday around midnight we filled the pool which was in our older ds's bedroom and called our Midwives and my little sister to come over. They arrived around 1am and I was already in the pool. The hot water felt amazing!!!!!!!!!! My midwives were wonderfrul and totally hands off. Dh was great and gave me tons of encouragement! I just kneeled in the water and let my body do it's thing. About an hour and half into it, my body started pushing all on it's own. I put my hand down there and felt every step of the baby moving down. It felt so good to support myself and feel my baby coming out of me. I felt the water bag burst during a push and then my body was like a freight train pushing the baby the rest of the way. I felt his head out and one more push and his body came out. I reached down and lifted my baby out of the water and up to my chest. It was the most amazing feeling ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only pushed for about 4 minutes.

Arthur was born at 2:32am and weighed 9lbs 5oz, was 22 inches long and had a 15 inch head. He came out with his arm up by his face but I did not tear at all. Wow, I'm still in awe of him actually being here in my arms. He is so wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here are a ton of pics:
