I've made this one several times. It turned out well. I didn't have any garfava flour. I think I substitued garbanzo bean flour once and rice flour another time.

this is the recipe i use:gluten free french bread...i normally use it as a sandwich bread, placing it all in one large loaf pan and using a spatula dipped in water to smooth out the top. then i use the yolks in smoothies. however the other recipes posted look really good too!

Made this recipe this morning, and it is really good. Just a slight bit of gumminess in the middle, but I may have added too much water because it is REALLY humid here. Also, I used a smaller loaf pan (4.5"x8.5") and it rose way over the sides and went everywhere, so using a bigger loaf pan is a must. Nice flakey crust and there were actually holes in it! Woohoo! It sliced nicely, too, I was able to slice it thin enough for sandwiches.

That recipe looks soooooo yummy! Did yours rise nicely like the picture on the blog? I really like their blog but for some reason I've never seen that bread recipe, I need to try it out!

She also has several other tested recipes. Take a peek around.
She was able to take the famous Amish Carrot Cake recipe, and make it gluten free. I have had it both ways, and you cannot tell them apart.

Okay, I have so much to learn! I also have plenty of inspiration! When I made my first batch of gluten free bread ended up with a lovely cornbread substitute, which is great since we are trying to move away from corn products, but not what I wanted. I simply replaced regular flour with rice flour.

From looking at the different recipes I realize that making gluten free bread requires a few more ingredients.

I have over exceeded my grocery budget for this month, but I my shopping list is made for July!!!!!

Keep the recipes coming.

When adding spices, herbs, cheese, nuts, etc, etc at what point would I add them?
