I haven't had any time to write out a birth story but will eventually. Though his birth wasn't ideal (my midwives transferred me to an OB practice who wanted to induce then section me based off of me being 40 weeks) everything went fairly well thanks to the world's most amazing birth coach (my mom) and my best friend who acted as a doula by phone pretty much the entire 54 hours (thanks goodness for free weekends lol). Isaac James was born June 21, 2009 at 4:41 in the morning. He was 6 lbs 11 oz and 20 inches long. After hours upon hours of laboring and VERY slow progression he made his debut pretty fast and furious after only 20 minutes or so of pushing. He's absolutely gorgeous and the most beautiful baby I've ever seen (though I am biased). We hit a little speed bump in nursing but we've seen the LC and things are going much smoother now. He sleeps like a champ and even though he wakes to feed every 2-4 ish hours I feel like I'm sleeping GREAT!. Perhaps its the co-sleeping, perhaps its the fact that I tend to doze everytime I nurse him but I'm not feeling the sleep deprivation and I'm a person that loves my sleep lol. I'll have pics up as soon as I locate the cable that hooks to my camera and laptop.
