best carrier for BIG young baby

I have used so many carriers, it's ridiculous...but I feel like all my experience with my first doesn't apply b/c ds is so BIG but still young enough that he doesn't have excellent control over his upper body.
some of the carriers I have that I LOVED when he was a newborn or for dd as a toddler (when she was same weight but had more body control) are just not comfortable for me (or ds).
right now we have the kangaroo korner fleece pouch, which is our favorite but it's getting too hot and it hurts me if I do more than 1-2 hours.
I also have the maya tie...but ds isn't crazy about it and neither am I.
I have tried the moby, beco, bjorn, ellaroo (wrap and mei hip)...
I'm thinking about an ergo?
What have you used with sucess?
FYI, ds is 5 months and 20+ pounds and he gets worn A LOT.
Thanks!

oh, also...
While I have always found the moby to be comfy...I think I am looking for something more simple to put on and off.
when we go to the park, etc...I am often taking ds in and out of the carrier so I'd like something fairy simple to take on/off...
I know I could just leave the moby on, but when it's 80+ degrees, I'm not interested in more fabric around me

My son was over 20 pounds at 3 months and we used a good MT and a wrap. I would stay away from the bjorn and the moby. Mobys are not really great for heavier babies.

My babies have all been really big & I so much wanted to use a mei tai or wrap with them...but, it just didn't work for us. Too painful & not supportive enough.

I switched over to the ergo & love it. It's also fabulous when they're older (and even heavier) used as a back carry.

LOVED my Ergo for a big baby, and then some people also love the Beco (similar)

Ergo all the way!
Depending what kind of beco you have it may be similar. The newer beco's are kind of akward though, and for this reason I say Ergo.

Another vote for the Ergo.

I have tried about a dozen different ones and it is my favorite.

I have a 19 pound 5 month old who LIVES in carriers. I understand! I have every kind of carrier, it's ridiculous. Honestly, my Hoppediz wrap is the most supportive, but it's not great for quick up-downs, although I'm getting faster. DH loves the Beco B2. I'm rediscovering the Ergo love, since it's so fast to get on and off. I also love my Babyhawk MT. I'm clearly no help. I love them all!

I'm another who just LOVES LOVES LOVES LOVES my Ergo!!! Oh man, while we were on vacation with my parents (BF stayed home, so it was just me with baby) the Ergo sav4ed my sanity!! Oh man, DS slept in it all day one day and aside from being slightly sore (those muscles don't get used much!) I was in great shape!
