Birth Centers in SF Bay Area

Hi Ladies! I was born and raised in the east bay. For the last 10yrs though I've been living in Delaware.

I have a cousin that is in Antioch and pregnant with her 2nd child. She had her first at a Kaiser hospital, induced for pre-e. I've given her info on preventing pre-e.

Does anyone know of any birth centers in the bay?

Thanks!

There is one is in Oakland - to my knowledge, it's the only one in the East Bay. One of my mama friends recently birthed there and had a really outstanding experience. She loved the midwife Selena... I can put your cousin in touch with my friend if she's interested.

I have also heard on the mom grapevine that Kaiser Antioch is quite the c/s factory/high intervention... at the very least, beg her to go to Kaiser Walnut Creek which is far more natural friendly, allows VBACs, has a birth tub, etc.

HTH!
