This is our first baby, and I am simply amazed by what an amazing father my dh has become. I can't believe how much he loves our little girl and how much he has taken care of both of us! This morning at 2 am, I was pumping and dh was syringe feeding dd (we think she's got a posterior tongue tie, still trying to figure it all out), and I heard him singing to her, but he changed the words from "Big Pimpin" to "Big poopin, in little diapees" and then he went and changed her, all the while singing. It was adorable! What cute things are your dh's/so's doing?

I found a super cheap Ergo on our local Craigslist ($30! What a steal!) and my DH has been wearing DD every chance he gets. He said, "I didn't think I would be, but I could really get into this babywearing stuff."

He is so sweet, gentle, and patient with her, even at 2 am. I am really amazed by how in love with her he is :-D

My husband has just been amazing with Shane. He wants to hold him all the time, rubs his feet while I nurse and was more scared and upset then I have ever seen him in my life when we found out Shane was being transfered to the other hospital.

This is such an amazing experience. My first husband was not involved much at all when our children were infants and I feared some of that with my husband. I did know that he did most of the work with his son, but it was hard to believe it until I saw it kwim? Anyway, he has just been amazing.

Dh caught our son, completely without help, and kept me from freaking out while he did it. That pretty well amazed me!

He hasn't been up to see us much since we've been here at the hospital, because hospitals make him so nervous and upset. Bad associations for him. But when he does come visit he holds Ben the whole time, right up next to his skin. He makes special effort to shave his face before coming so that he can rub soft cheeks on Ben's head. He talks to Ben and snuggles him close the whole time he is here.

More importantly, he is taking are of everyone at home while I'm here. He brought our oldest to visit last night and he {our oldest} was telling me about the cool, super fun things Dad is doing with them at home. Dh is being a total rock right now, taking on both his normal role and mine at home while I'm here with Ben.
