The 4th is my favorite holiday and well, I live at Fort Bragg with a huge fireworks show so no way I'm missing it. At a reasonable distance away it won't be very loud and DD will most likely sleep through it anyway. It will be just me and the kids so I will probably take them over for the show in the jogging stroller.
We'll probably go to some kind of fireworks show. If I make my 3yo take a nap, she stays up until 10:30 pm easily anyway. We took the baby with us to a movie the other night and it was really loud (louder than I expected, unfortunately) and she just layed on my lap and looked around and never flinched once, so I'm not too worried, especially if we're kindof far away.
I want to go...The park I go to watch is far enough away that it's not too noisy so it should be fine. The only way I won't go is if it's too crazy hot, because AJ gets really fussy if he gets hot, and I'm pretty sure that would ruin the fun....lol
We've always taken the kids. I don't know if I will make it to a fireworks show this year, as dh's cousin is getting married in the middle of nowhere, but I would like to try to find some. Dh isn't going to be with us, but I think that I should be able to convince nana and auntie to go with if the reception is over by then. The noise doesn't bother me for the kids, since we don't sit right on top of the show. We are always a bit back.
We don't, mainly b/c we'd rather stay in after getting back Friday from our trip to the NW and have a wedding that day too. We will be very ready to stay home!
we're having a party at my house and we'll most likely just have some ground fireworks...there is a show over our town and you can see it from the top of our hill with a short walk...we might do that...i know my 1yo enjoys fireworks...
