feeling less likely to give birth soon than before

Hello ladies,
I was on bed rest for 3 weeks having tons of contractions then at week 37 got off and was still having tons of contractions - becoming more painful and regular and intense......at weeks 39 I was having nightly is it time to go in type of contractions and now I just get them here and there - some intense some not...my EDD based on ovulation was the 26th. I am pretty sure I've lost my mucous plug yesterday.....but I just feel tired all the time - before I had so much energy! The baby is still moving but I feel like I'm no where near ready to give birth.......I felt more ready last week or 2 weeks ago - is this NORMAL?????
I have also been walking daily - 2 miles or so on hilly terrain. From bed rest to walking again has been hard on me (I've gained 60 pounds+).....

I have no idea what is normal after bedrest, but that sounds frustrating! I hope you're holding your baby soon!

Just to make you feel better...

I was never on bedrest, BUT I had contractions pretty regularly for 2 and 1/2 weeks. During most of that time I had a TON of energy to do things. By the end of those 2 and 1/2 weeks (seriously, the day before I went into labor) I was TIRED. I didn't care if there were dirty dishes in the, clothes to be folded, I just wanted to sleep. Baby was up high and moving a ton. I didn't think I would go into labor anytime soon. That night and the next day I didn't have any contractions like I had been. And then that evening I lost my mucous plug and started having 10 minute apart contractions. Everything picked up real fast and I had an hour and 15 minute labor/delivery.

Even when we got to the hospital baby was moving a TON and not engaged AT ALL! So my point being, it will happen and really, there are signs your body is preparing, but we really don't have a clue when babies will come. So don't feel like it won't happen soon, because it really could!

Hoping that you don't have to wait any longer! It's crazy that sometimes we just have NO idea when it's going to happen.
