I already posted this question in the regular diapering forum and didn't get much response, so I thought I'd also post here just to see if I can get more feedback...
I ordered a custom skirty from a woman on another discussion board, and it arrived without leg cuffs. The leg openings are totally unfinished, just an edge.
I asked her about it and she said that because we hadn't discussed a specific leg opening (i.e. ruffle or something) that she had just left it as is.
Am I wrong to think that a leg cuff would be a standard part of any skirty or soaker? I want to get feedback from other knitters or those who've ordered/owned multiple soakers and/or skirties who can tell me whether you think she should have added a leg cuff or not. I don't want to demand a partial refund if it's my fault but I don't want to pay full price if it's not technically finished.
On a side note, the skirty was a gift to a friend, who happens to be a knitter (my thinking was that this would save her time knitting her own as she wanted to knit lots of skirties for her daughter to wear this summer). She says she considers the edge unfinished, and is going to knit the leg cuffs herself.
