Eh. The weight is a funny thing.
When she was born, she was SOOOO swollen and began to lose water weight but because she was on fluids and IV vitamin mix, and thinned out. Well, then she was about 10lbs going into heart surgery, swelled back up again from the crazy fluids they gave her and went back up to 11.5 (birth weight).
Then she lost THAT weight and went down to 10lbs and is currently gaining 5 to 20ish grams a day, a good gain for heart babies. So NOW she is around 10.15. The docs arent worried because her body and head are growing how they should and shes getting enough nutrients. She even has reflux and throws up a lot (most heart babies do) and is still not losing any weight.

As for the reflux, I have been telling the docs for WEEKs that I suspect she has it, after watching that video on one of your guys blogs. Then last night I was told shes been on Zantac for 4 days after a reflux test, and no one told me! I KNEW it! DH said some doctor must have wanted to take the credit, darnit! At least shell get some relief!

Lindsay, your stories about giving Sophia lots of kisses and how much she loves her swing are just so sweet. I'm so glad that she's continuing to improve.

Shine, DH and I are from the Midwest and are planning an epic Midwest roadtrip next summer. I'm sure we'll be coming through Iowa, so maybe you and I can meet up IRL!

I'm having a weird pain deep in my right breast. I think maybe it's a clogged duct? I'm worried I'm going to get mastitis again, so for today I'll be applying hot compresses and trying to get LO to empty that side as much as possible.

I have to go try to cut my hair before DH and LO emerge from the bedroom. It's been a long time, and I'm starting to get shaggy.

I just have an inflatable whale... >.<
Complete with blowhole sprinkler thing.
Too bad, Zack has no clue about it yet.
The water is cold and he already screamed when I put his foot in.
He's just like me.

Zack is very active today. He slept almost all night long, except I woke him up to untangle him from the swaddle and change his diaper. Then, of course, he was hungry.
I think he would have made it from 10pm to 6am if I hadn't bothered.

I'm glad I did, though, he has a rash from the wet diaper. We usually get him into an AIO when we go to sleep, but he was dry at that point and we didn't want to wake him.

So, now I have to try and get rid of that before the doctor's appointment on Thursday.

PS: He started talking a lot more yesterday with "agoo." I'm waiting for him to ask for steak.

well, if it's warm enough, get him naked outside on a blanket! best rash cure ever!

Yep, zinc and a nakey bottom are what cleared Miss K's rash so quickly. She was raw from all the diarrhea but is better now. DD1 thought it was gross that I was letting her go without a diaper, but that was because she stuck her hand in a puddle under the swing!!! LOL It all washes. And she feels better, so it was worth it.

I had a dream about our DDC last night... I was making a thread in life with a babe, with a roll call at the beginning with names, blog links, etc. I think I was just thinking about the new sig. rules, but then remembered that we're getting shut down soon. (Hitting those one year since conception anniversaries now!)

Nora doesn't really have hair to lose. I was going to deny losing mine, but noticed some on the keyboard as I started typing.

I had met Dawn and Cayden when we were pregnant, but yesterday was my first chance to meet Lucas, too :

But, he started to turn purple.
The stupid sun went in.
Overall, he liked it... based on a couple of smiles and no terror screams.
And he waited to pee until I was taking off his bathing suit. :-/

nancy- we have the same whale pool! but my girls popped a hole in it sliding down the tail, and now I have to fix it. someday.

Caleb's still got the same amount of hair as he had when born, but it coming in thicker.I am losing my hair too, but I am so used to shedding that I barely notice it.

Mr.lil man has been sleeping so much today and not really eating.the few mins he's been awake he's all happy and smiley.I think he's been awake for a total of maybe 2 hours today.

A friend of mine had her baby over the weekend.He looks so big (9 lbs even 22inchs long) and has tons of black hair. As big as he is he looks tiny compared to Caleb. It's so hard- he's growing so fast.And he's only 11.5 wks old (12 on fri)!

Phoebe lost her hair like male pattern baldness- she now just has a little ruff of dark red hair above her neck. My son had the same thing happen. Phoebe now has some fuzzy, fine hair growing back in up top, we *think* it is red but we can't tell its so short and thin! Also it seems like her eyebrows are red.

it's now been over 2 weeks since dh lost his job and nothing promising in the least. He has applied for over 50 jobs and nada. I went out and got applications for the 2 pizza places and 1 gas station in town (very very small town) where we live. I need to get something.
I'mm take care of the kids in the daytime, while dh searches for work and gets unemployment. Then he'll get the kids at night while I work at some crap job. We will hopefully just make enought o pay all the bills down to the penny...hopefully. The only other place for an evening job is at the grocery store...but it's the same chain that just screwed dh out of his job...so I really don't want to work there.

Oliver is a tank and just getting bigger. At least I feel like maybe i'm getting a workout carrying him around! that;s good, i need it!

River is saying "ngoo" a lot. Earlier today I think I even heard a "ngoo-gaa." She also makes little noises while yawning and after sneezing, just like some grownups do. It cracks me up!

Also, someone needs to make a LOLcat-style picture of Zack that says "I can haz steak?"

It's absolutely hilarious. I remember feeling like PJ was nursing very hard early this morning and kind of realizing he wasn't latched (half asleep of course). Obviously he didn't care that we wasn't eating, and simply wanted to soothe or he would have let me know far before he made the monster hicky.

Kate-- I love the video on Facebook! I never seem to have my camara at the right time, and when I move the mood changes!

Well, let's see, Miss K still has all of her hair. Everyone says they think it will be red. I was excited to see her bright blue eyes...red heads scare me! LOL I can't tell about my hair either, I always seem to lose a ton.

She has slept more the last couple of days but I thought it was because of being so sick and feeling better now and catching up? She's 3 months today : so maybe it's a growth spurt? She's only been up about 1.5 hours today so far.

She doesn't talk much. She's started some little squeals in the last few days, so maybe it's coming! Her laugh is a suck in laugh that's so cute!

She hates the pool. I think water has to be warmer than body temperature for her to even tolerate it...lol
