what are you buying in the next few months? List time!

1. Microscope. Not sure which one.

2. I am thinking of getting a webcam or some editing/photoshop software - of some sort. I think my kids would like creating their own videos, etc. Input desired!

3. Challenge Math. https://smartmall.net-smart.net/challengemath/index.cfm

4. A few TOPS science kits http://topscience.org/

I am counting the seconds until back to school sales. I need so many supplies :

Take note that my DH is in college as well, and uses a lot of these supplies (plus my kiddos of course)

500 pencils
100 pens
25 boxes of crayons
200 notebooks (at the very least)
50 file folders (for lap books)
30 2-pocket folders
$10 worth of construction paper
10 binders (if not more)
5 boxes of colored pencils
5 boxes of markers
20 pink erasers
5 pairs of kid sized scissors
staples
paper clips
white glue...lots
printer paper (2 boxes I am thinking)
brads
paint/brushes/ maybe an easel
8 of those hanging storage things to put assignments finished/to do in
oh, loose leaf paper
tape
rulers

i think that is it...i will probably think of a million more things I need to get while I am at the store

Oh heck, I had forgotten about back to school sales! It seems so far off (it isn't - of course).

I need printer paper and really, really, really want a pencil sharpenner that works. Honestly, we have taken to doing everything in pen - pencils are just too annoying to sharpen!

Wow, Aron, you have a very detailed list.

-Playdough, clay, markers, glue, construction paper, etc. when they have back to school sales.

-Handwriting without Tears Pre-K and K, along with manipulatives

-Artistic Pursuits K-3, book 1

-Galloping the Globe

-Perhaps a globe if I can find a good deal

(And if anyone is selling any of these, I'd be happy to take buy them from you as well!)

thanks, I have been making a list for a few weeks now, its been easy to add to it everytime we dont have something I want to use. PLus I am way to cheap to spend $1 on a notebook when I know in 2 weeks they will be like 9 cents or something like that. Here's hoping I buy enough

Tons of supplies. Lots of art materials, organizational supplies, globe, atlas, science and history encyclopedias, stickers, animal habitats (butterflies and frog), bug viewer, toner, printer paper, art paper, etc. We just bought math manipulatives.

We spend most of our $$ on art supplies, weekly classes for homeschoolers, and printer paper these days. Everything else I can find for free online it seems.

I'm buying the Usborne First Animal Encyclopedia for kids (from Rainbow Resources for $7.95). Not sure yet on the world history encyclopedia, but it'll be a childs' version and probably not more than $15.

I'd love to get a whole set, kwim. A dying thing it seem, encyclopedias, since they are so easily available online, etc

Ask at your library.
I got a complete 5 year old set for $20 when they were rotating their stock.

For globes- K-MArt has them for $16 right now, so if you have a K-Mart- check!

I need the art supplies for Artistic Pursuits 1 and some more readers. Otherwise I *think* we're done. At least for now.

I actually bought just about everything for the upcoming academic year. My list for the next few months is:
  • TT Math 5
  • A writing program for dd12 (wordsmith? writing strands? any suggestions?)
  • Notebooks
  • Pens, pencils, glue, crayons, ruler, paints & other supplies

I don't need much - grammar for my oldest (at his request) but I haven't decided which one yet and probably the next Latin Roots.
I'm set for everything else at this point but that doesn't mean I won't but something

I bought most of the new stuff (math and spelling) at our conferences which happen April - June here.

I know. I'd just look stuff up online too, but I don't encourage computer use for ds. So far, he has no real interest in the computer (shocking, since I'm on it all the time).
