Modes to get new baby on back?

I am dying to get my 2 month old on my back! Is there any way I can do this with a wrap or mei-tai at this point? He wants to be carried all the time and mama would love to actually accomplish something (so many things involve bending over or reaching down into things). TIA!

I don't until mine are 3 months. But the method would be the same as I put them on my front: put on the mei tai and tie it, then slide him in from the top and settle him into it.

Neat! That is different than I do a mei tai and I hadn't thought of that. My friends all santa toss and I hip-scoot. :0)

Check out the instructions here for a high back carry with a mei tai, it can be used wth newborns:

I tried the newborn high back carry at around 2 months but it was't until this week (4 months) that we successfully got the back carry going on - It was great, but I'm still not sure about doing it when they're younger.

Practice over something soft or have someone stand behind you, but my little one was about 2 months when I did these instructions. I like using the BWCC because there are three layers of fabric over baby, so very nice and secure. At first, it can be daunting and intimidating to do a back carry with an infant, but it's very possible to learn once you build the confidence. And you build the confidence by practicing. Think of it this way...there are places in this world, where life as they know it would end if they weren't able to back carries new babies. And back carrying a young one comes in especially essential when mothering more than one. So, watch some videos, look at some instructions and practice, practice, practice (and over something soft when starting out ). You can do it!
