My 18 mo old eats all the time, she always wants something to eat! We still breast feed but she wants food 24/7 as well. Is it ok to let her eat whenever as long as its healthy/organic?

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I think it's a great gift to give our kids the ability to listen to their own bodies and pay attention to what they need. So yeah, if they're hungry, let them eat. I have noticed with my kids that if our fat intake trends downward (and we consume no dairy, so we don't have that as an ongoing source), they want to eat all the time. But kids can have growth spurts and different metabolisms, so I'd try to go with it.

ITA! I personally have found it impossible to always tell when DS is having a growth spurt until after it happens. My only clues are uptake in food and sleep. I think little kids know what they need and an 18 mo old isn't going to overeat on their own. I would try as much as possible to focus on feeding high fat foods but beyond that, go with it
