Basil help

I have several basil plants that I need to trim. I want to make pesto with my basil, but I don't have enough to make a large batch yet. Is there a way to store my basil and make pesto with it when my plants grow more leaves?

I think there's a way to freeze it, maybe someone can tell you how. But, you'll soon have enough basil to make it - fresh from the plant. I think you should make mozzerella tomato basil pizzas with your current basil

I agree trim it now and make something else or through it in the compost bin. Basil likes to be trimmed soon you will have more basil than you now what to do with. Also make sure you are pinching off any seeds at the top before they go to flower.

Dump the leaves in the freezer whole (to be added later to something like tomato sauce or soup or curry). Or you can just puree it with a little bit of oil and drop it in the freezer until you have more. My preference is coconut oil, it helps prevent the browning you get with pesto.
