Eek! Is that mold on her shirt?

I just pulled a shirt out of Allie's dresser and it kinda looks like moldy specks all over the front of it. I didn't notice that when I put it away (doesn't mean it wasn't there, just that I didn't notice). I think the last time she wore it we happened to go to a park with a fountain and neglected to bring a swim suit, so she got pretty drenched. I think it was a few days before the shirt made it into the wash, so thats probably why. It doesn't smell at all. Is there any way to get that out? We barely bought the shirt a few weeks ago, organic cotton, goes to a super cute outfit and I'd hate for it to be ruined Luckily we didn't pay much.. store was going out of business and everything was deeply discounted. But still! Its a really nice outfit! I wanted to get pictures in it.

I've had luck soaking things overnight in Oxyclean. Mold is really hard to get rid out, though. If you want to bring the big guns try hot water, Oxyclean (just follow the directions) and a tb or 2 of Cascade powder (or similar) and let it sit overnight. G/L!

It's probably mildew, not mold. But that doesn't help your staining situation. I guess I'd try oxyclean, too. Maybe sunning?

Just FYI, I've had colors (def red) run from soaking in Oxyclean and d/w powder for extended periods, don't know if that might be an issue. The key to Oxyclean and stains IMO is soaking overnight.

ETA and don't dry it in the dryer until you've either gotten it out or given up. My only mildew stain failure was a shirt I washed and dried. I don't think I ever got the stain out, the dryer seemed to set it.
