Question?? I need a little help! Please?

I was just wondering if anyone else feels like they are going to or are runnig a fever?? I have been feeling like this all day. I feel cold, like the chills if unless I am somewhere where a fan isn't on. I have taken my temp and it is a little higer than my normal. I usually range from 97.6 to 97.9 and today I am at 98.8 or so. I am a little worried though b/c my DS has been sick for 6 days with something that we can't seem to figure out what it is. I do know it is not pneumonia and not the flu. He had a bunch of blood work today but, I have not gotten the results back yet. I am worried it is some virus and I am going to get it. What worries me the most is that, he has been running these really high temps like..104, 103.5, 102. I know that is not good for the beginning of pregnancy. I heard it can cause defects and stuff...even a MC. I also wanted to say, I was spotting from 8dpo up til 11dpo, it stopped on 12 dpo and now it's back really light. I'm 13 dpo today. I called my midwife and went in for blood work. To make sure my levels are ok. I really hope they are b/c this is so crazy that all of this is happening at the same time. Does anyone have any advice?? Thank you for your responses!! I really appreciate!!

I think it's something to do with all the extra bloodflow... or that's *my* explanation of things! I've been either FREEZING or DYING OF HEAT lately. And it's completely one extreme or the other -- I can't seem to reach a happy medium!

That said, we've had illness pass through here too... plenty of it lately (a few weeks ago, I was puking my guts up.. this after two of my other daughters had the same thing)...

I hope all your bloodwork comes back in the clear!!

Sounds just like my 4th pregnancy, where I spotted then started again for another couple days, even saw red blood. I felt like I was coming down with something- run down, tired, sweating, chills, flushed...so similar. Not to say it's not something else but it could just be hormonally caused like mine was, which is a good sign

Thank you ladies so much for your replies! I keep taking my temp but, it isn't getting any higher. I think I am coming to the conclusion that it is just a pregnancy thing. I will keep everyone updated tomorrow when I hear from the doc about my results!! Thank you again..both of you girls made me feel better, like I'm not crazy or something!

Hi Guys!! I am so happy to report my hcg base level is 125!! I was told this is very good for where I am at right now in my pregnancy!! 3wks 4days!! I don't seem to be spotting anymore again this morning. I am feeling a little nauseous too...ugh! But, I am happy!! I want this to be a sticky bean!! I have been talking to it, asking it to stay with me and telling it I love it and will be the best mommy ever for it!! DS's blood work came back showing that what he has is just a virus and I am pretty sure he is starting to get better!! Yay!! : He is running around acting like a little maniac today and his temp is just a tad above normal! So...I feel better about that right now. Thanks for the support ladies!!

Glad to hear that! I've had a bit of a headache/fever this time, and I don't remember that from last time. But my daughter and I both have a cold so I'm sure that's part of it. Hormones can do things like that too.

Thank you girls!! it is so nice to have the support!! I am just trying to remain calm now and I think that once a few days without spotting pass, it will be much easier to do that!!

Great update! I was running a low grade fever yesterday (in the 99 range...my norm is mid 97s) and felt like I had the flu. Of course, DH has swine flu right now, so I was REALLY worried I had that (and still could get it) but feel much better today so I hope it was just hormones. I don't remember feeling this way with either of my other pregnanies, but I'm glad I'm not alone!

Doula Oh gosh! I am sorry your DH has swine flu! Ugh! I think that would make me a little nutty. I thought I had it bad with it being DS who is sick and worrying about catching that. I hope DH gets well soon and that you don't get it. It stinks having to be worried about getting sick like that when you are newly pregnant. I am glad that you are feeling better today too. I haven't been feeling too bad since the other day either. So...lets keep our: for each other not to get these bugs! Good luck!!

Wow, praying you don't get it!! My best friend and her whole family had it recently (I don't remember if she was pg. or the baby was just tiny).

I was freaking out the other day thinking I was getting shingles. Obviously wasn't the case, but how horrid would that be to get them at the most dangerous time...

Funny, I had a fever yesterday too, Skeeter. Woke up with 99.something and by evening it was 101. FF threw out my temp for that day. I'm still spotting(?) as well. I have had a cold the past few days, true, but having a fever with a simple headcold was a surprise. I'd love to think this was just hormones gone wild... nice high hormones, churning out a healthy gestational environment for my little bean.
