Good luck, Avani! You and your family will be in my thoughts.

So many of us are at or days away from our due dates (except for me but my due date is pretty much a blind guess since there was no missed period involved). Lots of babies are on their way!

Man, I have really reached the sick-of-being -pregnant phase. It just seems like one icky thing after another is happening to me and I am ready to just feel good and meet the new LO!! I have all these annoying little *problems* that just keep creeping up and preventing me from feeling healthy. First thrush, then terrible diarrhea (which I still have) and now bug bites on my face! EEK! : I just need a couple of weeks of smooth sailing!

I did have a massage today that was just wonderful . Is anyone doing anything special to pamper themselves in these final moments?

I think i am getting a pedicure tomorrow. I had one recently, and thought it would last till birth, but....no.

So, while DD is at co-op, I will have my feet pampered. Oh, maybe nails, too, now that I think about it.

I also have two acupuncture treatments waiting for me. I should probably dp that before the little one. I really don't know what to ask her for, though. Labor? Relaxation? Hip Pain?
What types of things, in your opinion, is acupuncture the MOST effective for?

Tell the accupuncturist everything that is bothering you and i find it to be effective for all of the above. I always feel more relaxed and my hip pain was alleviated within a day.

It's DH that keeps coming down with something.. he seams to get sick EVERY weekend. :

I got a massage and pedicure last week.. I went swimming today. I don't know what else to do.

I think I should call the chiropractor to see if she takes medicaid.. my hips are always in pain... do they help with hip pain?

Avani I hope everything works out splendidly for you! Keep us updated!

Well, 39w today! I am so ready for baby to come... but baby will come when baby is ready...
I have been thoroughly enjoying my maternity leave! I am officially on day 3 and it is so nice! What is not nice is getting in my car at 10:30am and already having the outdoor temperature be 95 degrees! At least it's dry heat.

Not much else going on here, just tying up the loose ends before baby comes like clearing DH's drum kit out of the baby's room so I can vaccum & put away the diapers/clothes!
I did go buy my beer today! Got quite the nasty look from the checker... haha.
Hope all of you ladies are doing well, I can wait to see all the happy healthy birth stories!

No one has ever given me a bad look from buying beer and wine, but I bought some cigarettes for a friend and got "They aren't for YOU, right?"

Pregnant women always do the beer/smoke runs... and are the designated drivers.. at least with all my friends!

Definitely get the dirty looks around here! I went to Trader Joe's 3 or 4 days ago with DH and one of our friends, and we bought some beer, since I was paying I pulled out my ID and the checker actually asked me, "So wait a minute, you're not drinking this are you?" I just smiled and pointed to the boys. Grrr... nosy people!

OMG, how rude! I bought the fixins' for sangria (except for the fruit - someone will need to make a run for that) for my celebration beverage! Come to think of it, it might end up being the pre-celebration beverage, as in lets have some now!

Seeing more birth announcements is exciting! I am also kind of excited about getting to my due date (July 4), for some weird reason.

Louisa is a month old (yesterday). She was weighed at the pedi-- 9 pounds, 7 oz..... so she is definitely not wasting away, she has gained almost 3 pounds on the outside.:
She is also waking up more and more. I am so excited to learn more about her.

I agree re: the acupuncture-- just go and spill all complaints and maybe it will take care of everything! For sure relaxation... and mention any birth fears if you have them.

How did it go Avani?

I kept being woken up by ctx all night, but was really really wanting them to stop because I have to go take a placement test at school today (nothing like going to the university at 39 weeks pregnant ). I procrastinated and then forgot and just realized I have to take it by tomorrow since that's the deadline for my nursing school application! I really didn't want to go take the test a few hours postpartum

I still need to take my math placement test too.. i've put it off for years now.

I am just so tired today. I took my DDs shopping for a few things and now I can't even move off the bed to get dinner put in the oven! :yawning:

Got a call that my GBS test came back negative! I really only got the test in case there is a transfer, as I wouldn't accept antibiotics at home if it was positive, but it's nice to know that I won't have to worry about it

It got continued until Monday. My ex's lawyer kept trying to appeal things from our original case two and a half years ago which they aren't allowed to do because you have to appeal immediatley after the original hearing. They were only allowed to discuss the custody and support at hand but kept referring to the original case. So the judge wants time to read through everything from the previous case and i need to get papers from our original hearing off to my lawyer to get to the judge. My ex is trying again to say there was never abuse and because he didn't have a lawyer the first time he got the short hand of the stick and everything decided wasn't fair for him. So i guess i just need to keep on waiting! Thanks for all your well wishes and keep the good energy coming! My lawyer said he was at the hearing with his new baby and the same woman he had an affair with when i was pregnant with our baby nearly three years ago. I'm not surprised!

And yay for the two new babies!
