Do it! I'm sure you could easily find a class nearby. Most yoga studios have prenatal yoga classes. Or, you could just get a video from the library or whatever.

I have started exercisig, igf you can call it htat. I fit squats in in the showere. buttocks tucks while wathcing tv and yoga when I have a moment--and they have been few and far between. A routine? BAH! I would love to ealk but I got rid of my treadmill becasue the kids kept hurting themselves on it and it is beyond hot right now so going outside is out of the question. I wish I could find something that I can fit in!

My spelling has gone to hell becasue I am typing faster than I think and I am too lazy to edit...I hope you can bear with me.

About Yoga: I recently saw some very beautiful pictures of a very pg woman in yoga poses on a beach. She did yoga throughout her whole pg and she looked amazing! If there's a way I can post the pics, I will.

My 6th pg I did yoga right up until birth. I had thought I would want to stop at one point and I found I couldn't. It just felt too good.

Same here I was huge by 9 months and was still doing yoga almost everyday. Though I haven't practiced since he was born and now I feel like I am in the worse shape of my life and pregnant:

I also have horrible posture that I like to blame on nursing

I am determined to get my butt in gear. I had great labors with both my kids but my body was also in a good place, I fear not being in good shape will have an impact on this labor.

Had some very light brown spotting off and on. Never really thought much of it until saw pink DM yesterday. (DH and I had not dtd within the 24hrs prior and I am not on suppositories). I've never spotted during pg before so this is new for me. I know it may be "nothing" but calling dr's offices (old one and new one I have an appt with on the 16th) to see if either can squeeze me in soon just to see what's going on.

I'm also wondering if I should forego my usual workouts. DH and I have been working out regularly for the past 8 weeks. What would you do?

I would definitely hold off a while just until you talk to your Dr. anyway.

Stacie, I'm sorry about the spotting. I know that it can cause worry Many women spot and go on to have healthy babies.

What I would do? I'd continue with exercise but keep it light, walking at an incline on the treadmill, eliptical, yoga. Do what feels good to you.

I hope your dr's office gets you in right away so you know what is going on. Have you had an ultrasound?

no u/s yet, scheduled for the 19th. The new mw's office that I have my appt scheduled at did call me back today and said to take it easy until I have a chance to go in and see what's going on. Dr was off island today seeing patients and since I'm early, they rather wait until my original appt date.

I also left a msg with my "old" ob office (thinking they may get back to me and do more sooner because I've been with them longer)...they didn't call me back until about 4:45pm (left a msg with both in the morning) and I was in a mtg so I didn't answer. Called them back about 20min later as they requested I do (call back that is) and I didn't hear anything else from them the rest of the day.

Still haven't broke the news to DH that they mw office told me to take it easy and no dtd for now.

I know it happens a lot in early pg, but it's making me remember not to "assume" that this will all end in a happy/healthy delivery/baby. One day at a time!

Spotting turned red last night and actually got a bit heavier...not really heavy, but more than just spotting or on tp when I wipe. Got scared and really thought I was m/c and just wanted to know what was going on, so DH took me to the ER. I was even more upset because I felt like it was my fault. I did exercise earlier that day and while I felt like I didn't push too hard, the fact was that I was seeing RED blood!

Even though the spotting got worse by the time I got there, it slowed and by the time I was able to have an u/s (hours after we got there), the tp was clean when I wiped. The tech saw a heartbeat and said the pg looked "normal." She did say that I have 2 "cysts" (they didn't know what else to call it) that didn't look like fibroids, didn't look like tumors, and "wasn't another baby necessarily." They said it should be watched and I am to follow up with my dr tomorrow. The tech did have trouble seeing everything she wanted to because of my tilted uterus...the scan was longer than I expected and quite uncomfortable...especially when she started pressing on my uterus to try to get a better view of one area that she really never got a good view of.

After a long night in the ER, I'm super tired right now...off to get some rest, but super relieved to know that a heartbeat was seen and both tech and ER dr were optimistic about baby's chances.

staciem-- yay for a heartbeat!! *hoping the spotting doesn't return and your baby is healthy!*

i am an exercising momma too. i practice yoga...i go for thrice weekly but that often doesn't work. many days i just get a few of my fave asanas in.

i also walk/jog 3.1 miles daily at our local state park. which is nice and meditative...although once i get close to 8-9 months i might want to do the shorter trail so that i can be closer to my car if need be. i have no cell phone, and although birthing in the woods i visit daily is idyllic...who knows who else would come along...and they might try and bring me to a hospital!! lol!!

Did Yoga today, but have toned down my workouts since spotting. Thankfully I haven't had more since the ER. Saw the heartbeat for myself today!

Dr gave me the ok to workout and dtd so long as I don't "overdo" it. I am to tell DH to "be nice."

He also said to just call if anything happens between now and next visit (in 2 weeks). He's letting me come back in 2 and 4 weeks and will do u/s at both. I had the option to just go in in 4 wks, but found myself wanting to check up on baby sooner.
