Does anyone have experience either with garlic sprays on plants/soil or getting rid of fungus gnats?
I suspect that these little flies came in the soil of two herbs I bought this spring, and they have now infested my whole patio garden.
These are the recipes I have found:
1: Baking Soda Spray
1 Tbsp baking soda
3 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 gallon of water
1/2 tsp dish soap
Shake. Spray every 5 -7 days.
2. Garlic Spray
1 head of garlic
3 cups of water
2 Tbsp vegertable oil
2 hot pepper (or some cayenne, perhaps?)
1 lemon
Blend with a blender. Steep overnight. Strain. Use 4 Tbsp per gallon of water.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
