Anyone try it? What were your results? Thanks ahead of time

I have had very good results using the stoneyfield plain whole milk yogurt as a starter.

I'd say it would work fine. The important thing is if you like the flavor of it. I used Horizon Organic Yogurt and that worked great. In fact, it gets better every batch and I haven't bought another tub to re-start.

I've had very good luck with plain Stoneyfield. I prefer whole milk, but the store doesn't always have it so I've also used low fat.

This is what I have been using for 6 months now. It is convienient, relatively inexpensive and you don't need that much. One adult single yogurt can make one whole gallon of yogurt. I've used Stonyfield plain, vanilla and just about all of the baby flavors. I always use the whole milk kind. If you use a flavored, it does impart a slight flavor to the whole batch, but sometimes we like it that way! I don't like plain yogurt, so I always add a sweetener (rapadura or sucanat). I've heard honey doesn't work, but have never tried...

I'm making some RIGHT NOW for the first time. How funny! I'll let you know how it turns out...
