i actually signed up during my last pregnancy, in 2005, but never made any posts. lol... i am pretty active on a different mom forum, but this place stands for so many things that are very "me", and i feel that i'll have more in common with a lot of yu crunchier mamas, here.
my name is jaQ, i'm 25, and i just found ou on my birthday this month, that #3 is on his/her way. it's my 4th pregnancy (one loss last july) and my first with my boyfriend, mike, 43. we live together in Roseville, MI, with my son, Timmy (turning 6 on 08/31) and my daughter Missy (04/07/06). His daughter Cheyenne (21 months) stays with us about 3 days per week. We are, unfortunately, super-different when it comes to parenting... he is traditional, and an anal control freak about life in general... i am still nursing my 3-year-old (which mortifies him), i co-sleep, don't use baby food/strollers/high chair/crib, i enjoy cloth diapering (he thinks it smells)... we butt heads a lot with the other kids, and it's going to be something, us having one together. i'm pretty nervous, and i'm not sure our relationship will make it to my due date (february 20).
i am just hopin to make it to february-- my son was born at 38 weeks, and my daughter at 36.5 weeks. both big (8-4, 7-11) and healthy, but i am nervous about this one coming even earlier. i'm planning my first home birth, and am very excited-- mike is opposed to it, of course, but until he carries and drug-free pushes an 8 lb. baby out ofhis body, i get to decide the how and where of my delivery, for once.
