This baby is going to come very soon.. but he is posterior, and my right hip is hurting so bad. How can I get him to move, and what would be good for relieving my painful hip?

TIA!

Pelvic tilts on all fours. Also rocking back and forth on an exercise ball. My 2nd was posterior until early labor. I don't really know if it was the movements I was doing or the strong labor contractions, but he was over 11lbs and able to rotate!

I recommend that you look at spinningbabies.com

For the back pain - have someone stand behind you and squeeze your hips in and up as you sway back and forth. This takes a lot of pressure off the lower back and hips.

Here's a list of Webster-qualified chiros in Utah: http://www.icpa4kids.org/locator/res...UT&city=&name=

Pelvic tilts, yes! Scrub the kitchen floor on all fours as much as possible.

mine is also posterior and I'm having hip and pelvic pain

things that can help:

-knee-chest position to get the baby out of the pelvis to give him/her more room to rotate
-pelvic tilts/rocking on all fours
-spending lots of time on all fours
-circling and swaying hips
-rebozo sifting on all fours
-hypnosis and visualization(hypnobabies has a turn your posterior baby mp3)
-professional help (chiro or acupunture)

I've tried everything so far except professional help (well I just started the hypnosis track tonight). I'm seeing a chiro tomorrow. I read (I think on spinning babies) that hip and pelvic pain with a OP baby can be due to stress/tension in the pelvic ligaments and that getting an adjustment and getting those ligaments to relax is one of the best ways to get the OP baby to turn in that case. I hope it is true!

I am calling the chiro first thing in the morning.. their office was closed early today (normal for their Tuesdays I guess). What do I need to tell them (I've never been to a chiro before )?

I've been reading spinning babies, and I switched my desk chair for my birth ball... I went to the pool today to try to get the baby moved over, but that didn't work..

I will scrub floors if I have to, lol.. it gives me BAD heartburn to bend over like that!

Thanks everyone
