What are you wearing for labor? - Page 2

For both of my previous labors I wore a sports bra for the birth. I don't mind being nekkid on the bottom but for some reason I like to have my boobs covered up . Of course right after the birth I take it off to nurse. This time I have a new comfy set of pj's, the top has spagetthi straps and crosses over so it will be easy access for nursing. I also have a new robe.

Well, I've been wearing these yoga pants for the past three months, so I'm not even sure they come off...

So probably those and a tank top.

Don't dry until its all clean, as the heat will set the stain. You can also spot clean with hydrogen peroxide, esp when the blood is fresh still.

But, in my experience, if the laundry is done within a day or two, it'll all come out rather simply!

I'll be stark naked for my labor and birth.
Yeah, I know a lot of ppl don't like hospital gowns, but I actually don't mind it during labor. I don't want anything tight fitting if that makes any sense. I'm one of those ppl who generally doesn't like to be touched during labor and don't wants lights/music, etc.. As little stimulation as possible, so a loose fitting hospital gown is fine by me and they can take care of the mess, b/c I HATE getting blood stains out.

In early labor, I'll probably wear a tank top dress that is super comfy. Once I get into the water, I'll put on a bikini top, but keep my bottoms naked. I'm like Anna (an aurora), I feel funny without a top on but don't want anything on the bottom.

On the modesty thing, I'm super modest and honestly did not care that I was stark nekkid in my birth pool for most of my labor! Earlier on I wore a binsi and tank top. I figure I'll wear whatever seems comfy at first and go from there. I actually ended up not liking the binsi because I didn't like how it felt under my belly. I'll probably wear one of dh's t-shirts if I want to cover up.

I have a cheap cotton tank top dress that I bought at target that I've been wearing this whole pregnancy that I'll wear possibly. I have a birth tub so I'll put on a bikini top when I go in there and I also have a sports bra that I may wear. I guess it just depends how I end up birthing and for how long- but those are my 3 options. I am pretty modest, and I have a friend coming to take pictures of the birth so I'd prefer not to be stark naked just so I can show the pictures to more people... but if I end up being naked, whateva!

Early in labor I will probably wear yoga pants and a tank, my standard outfit for the past couple months! I also have a strapless slip on dress that I got at old navy that I might wear, cause it's easy.

Once I am at the birth center and settled I will either be just wearing my tank top or probably naked if I am in the tub (which I plan to be)

Well, I bought some lovely lilac flannel backed satin to make myself a light-weight robe today. I was going to forgo it, because we really don't have any extra money, but it turns out a big check we were waiting for came today at twice the amount we were expecting! We're not completely in the black yet, but I got everything on sale and the supplies only cost me about $14. Now hopefully my birth won't be so fast and furious that I never wear it!

Despite having done this more than once before, I could not tell you what I wore during labor, or when I took it off... I know from the pictures I wasn't wearing anything when I gave birth. After baby was nursed and I was ready to sleep I think I put on one of my husband's t-shirts.

I'm gonna guess that I will labor in a pair of my husband's boxers that I have claimed as my own (ie wore them one night and stretched them out to the point of no return) and a tank top or a tshirt. I assume I will take them off to get in the tub because I always have been naked at that point... but I suppose there's a chance I will leave the shirt on if I feel more modest because of the kids and their support people being around this time... but modesty is definitely not one of my personality traits, so that remains to be seen.

I've always had at least one laboring picture and one right-after-birth picture that are decent enough to show other people (ie everything is covered). Besides, you can always photoshop out a little bit of nipple or crop out your naked lower half
