We don't tell anyone names until the baby is born (both for the surprise factor and because we've always been more than open to changing it if they're born and the name doesn't fit them at all), but these are the ones DH has nixed that I love:

Girls
Thomasina
Gracelin
Rosalie
Cera
Katharina
Camille

Boys
Brighton
Xavier
Omar
Israel
My best friend has a baby named Isreal!

I also have a good friend with a little girl named Olive! Such a cute name!

Wow! That is super interesting!! That is what I mean..so weird the way some peoples tastes are similar or different. I like seeing it! I really love both of those names. My DH doesn't like Eleanor though. He does however like Ellie so...that is ok with me too!

He actually came up with a name last night too...i kind of like it surprisingly...
Avery...boy or girl

Really? That's awesome! I have loved that name for so long, I tried to sway DH toward it when I was pregnant with my 2nd too, and he wouldn't budge back then either. Oh well!

Phew. We just got finished reading, out loud, the top 1000 boys names from the social security list. Made it to about 600 on the girl side before I realized DP was sleeping!

Heheh...here's what we've come up with so far, minus what's been vetoed. We'll probably add to these over time.

Boys:
Braden
Eli

Girls:
Layla
Liliana

I don't love the girl names but would be happy with either of the boy ones. I know we made a longer list when I was pregnant with DD, I'll have to dig it out. Surprisingly, DP is much pickier than I am when it comes to names.

I love a lot of the ones you all listed - Ella for a girl, Levi or Lane for a boy, but thumbs down from DP.

I'm not even 100% sure of my bfp yet but I've got names chosen already. Dh isn't so sure of them, but since this is likely the last child I'll have I really want to get one of my choices to the front of the queue! For a boy I've wanted Gareth since our first child, and this time I'm determined! So Gareth Scott for a boy. But we're really due a girl after already having 3 boys, so for a girl I want Annelise Estella Rose... yes, 2 middle names, one for my, and one for my dh's, grandmothers. Hey, how about twins, so I can get both of them in?! lol

catchthewind are you a Ballykissangel fan?

I love love love names and all of these are great!!!! I especially like that the name Olive is coming back! And I *love* Gareth and Rosalie and Brighton! MDC March moms have good taste! ;P

We've decided on our names, though we're flexible.

Amara Ruth
or
Simon Tucker

Both middle names are family names.

Nope, never heard of it lol. I just googled it though. We don't have cable so I've never watched it. I'm Irish though and I love Irish names. Actually, the list of characters in that show has given me some new ideas.

I'm loving reading everyone's name choices. I still don't feel like we've found the perfect name, boy or girl, so I'm glad we have lots of time.

DH keeps throwing out these boys names that I think are terrible I won't share them in case anyone likes them.

We did come up with a girls name AND a boys name that we agreed on though. Seth Xavier for a boy, and Guinevere Rose for a girl, what do you think?

I usually keep baby names secret, but I will share them in here.

With DD, we left the boys name we had chosen out before she was born (we didn't know sex) and X's family shot down out boy's name choice : (it was Isaac Daniel~ which I think is nice) but she was a girl, so that name had been agreed on, and was kept a secret.. she was named after her great, great grandmother (Annabelle) and her great grandmother , who was alive at the time of her birth, was named MaryBelle, and she cried when she heard that we named her after her mother .
