We think this baby will be born Friday or Sat.

But.. my mw is going to sweep my membranes this Friday.. so I kind of have the feeling that he will be born then, even though I've thought from the beginning this baby is going to be a little 4th of July firecracker.

Still here. No contractions today at all. Ugh. I was feeling hopeful yesterday but now I'm just bored & grouchy!

My baby is still posterior, so I scheduled an appointment at the chiropractor today to try to get him realigned.. and to help with this hip pain. They take medicaid, which is a bonus since I have no other insurance.. if I would have known that sooner I would have been going for months now!

Since DH works out of town (3 hrs to the BC) I am not going to encourage this baby to come before Thursday evening.. when he gets home.

I'm still here! Now at 41 and 4 days. When I go out, people ask me when I'm due and when I tell them, their eyes get huge, they start giggling, and I know they are thinking, "Please, lady, get outta here before you explode!"

I'm here... 40 weeks 4 days.

According to the article about the EDD posted in the main "I'm Pregnant" forum, my EDD really isn't until July 3, which is Friday. I fully expect to go into labor Friday (and I did before I read that article)

Had a midwife appt today (I'm 40+3)... everything looks great. but now baby is turned sideways, ear up... and she said he is "almost posterior". Ugh. So now I'll be on my hands & knees trying to get him to turn the right way.

LizzyQ your babe is still posterior too right?

I'm still here. Scheduled for induction tomorrow for b.s. reasons imo. I'm aggravated as h**l about it & on the fence about wanting to tell my ob they're fired & just go into the hospital when I go into labor.

Can you ask to reschedule until next week?

hey, I'm so happy that I'm not the only one at 40+!!! KarlaC, it's your body, you can just not show for the induction if that's the thing you think is best. Your doc will probably be annoyed with you, but that's his/her problem. A friend of mine just didn't show up for her scheduled c/s. And another friend who didn't show for her induction. Her doc basically wrote her off when she did go into labor, but it didn't really matter at that point. The on-call docs did a great job and were probably more supportive. So anyway, just do whatever you think is best!! Good luck!!! Hope your baby comes on its own soon!

40+4 here. I'm holding out hope for tomorrow, since DS keeps saying the baby will come on Saturday. Today he said "in the morning".... and when talking about fireworks, he said "we can go see the fireworks after my brother is here!"

How great it will be if he is right! He was the first one to know I was pregnant, he knew all along it was a boy, and when the midwives suspected twins he said "no it's just one baby" and was right about that too....

Of course, if he's wrong now... I just may cry But I'll try to look forward to fireworks tomorrow night instead... *sigh*

Well I went in this a.m. fully intending to blow them off & instead I got kicked out because the ward was full!

The charge nurse was awesome, when she came to tell me you could see dread in her eyes(the lady they turned away before me threw a fit) & when I did a little happy dance she asked me 'Why are you here then?' I told her because my ob insists since I'm 'overdue'.

She told me to go home & walk & she's putting me at the bottom of the list for calls back in. Likely not until Tuesday which is good, by my dates I'm not even 'due' until 7/7 so I am a happy toad today ladies

I'm 40 + 5. Because of the due date we put in my records, I've got until July 16 to have this baby with my midwife (who can only attend to 42 weeks). I am praying and hoping she either comes before the 10th or after the 13th, because during those three days, both my mom and MIDWIFE will be out of town.

That's great news!! Kind of funny that it was soooo absolutely necessary you have that baby right... Hopefully labor starts soon & you can avoid it altogether. Good luck!

I think I sprung a leak... woke up at 3am to pee and my pants were wet. I went pee, put on new pants, and went back to bed. At 8am they were soaked again. But I can't feel anything leaking out..... but they were definitely very wet, like water.. not mucousy or anything... so I dunno!
