Diaper pins

I've never tried to pin a diaper. How hard is it really? Did anyone start out pinning but then give it up? I just don't know how I could pin a diaper on my wiggle worm, but we are into frugal diapering so wonder if I should try it. For you experienced pinners, what type do you recommend?

First of all, get the good pins with the metal heads, like Dritz. Don't do the ones from Babies R Us and places like that. They will be easier to put in, and leave fewer pin holes in your diapers. Pull the diaper tighter than you think it should be, and put your finger between the baby and the diaper. Push the pin though until you feel the pressure on your finger, and pin! It's that easy (although it does take some tries to master). I put my pins in a bar of soap to make them go through easier. I know some mamas run them through hair too. The keys are really having good pins and practice.
