I could seriously fly to NY to hug you for saying that... this entire pregnancy all I have heard is "why couldn't you be having a little girl" and "but little girls are so much more fun to shop for"
zenproof what a really neat idea... I want to see pictures when you are done!

Awesome work mama! And yes... it kind of looks like a clown exploded when I made my birds

. It's because I got together with some of our new neighbors and took their kids to JoAnn Fabrics to help me pick out the fabric for each bird. It was a way for us to meet the neighbors (we moved into our house when I was about 13 weeks or so) and some of our sons future playmates. Some of them do look a bit psychedelic though

YEP... I am so envious of all you second, third, fourth and more mamas who already have everything you need and everything in its right place.
This is going to make me sound like an ungrateful wretch but my husband and I are minimalists and have been fairly astounded and a bit horrified by the sheer amount of
stuff we have accumulated since the beginning of this pregnancy. Right now I am drowning in bibs (I lost count at 30), socks, blankets and expensive hand embroidered rompers that he will likely only wear once. Our shower was last weekend and I just can't bring myself to face the baby explosion going on upstairs in the "nursery" because every time I look at all the clothes and other things I keep thinking to myself this stuff could easily pay for 2 or 3 diaper stashes.
Eventually Brent and I are just going to have to sift through it all and donate as much as we can. But to be honest I would rather be weeding my garden...
