Show me your baby stuff. - Page 2

I love everything!!!!! The clothes, blankets, all....baby stuff is so very sweet!

Thanks on the room, it is my fav out of the three boy's rooms.

dislocator- i got the qoute from etsy and was planning on putting it right on the wall. It wouldn't show up since I went with such a dark blue, so I had hubby build the frame....good luck and steal away!

I definitely want to make a mobile, but I don't know if I am up to it, not much of a seamstress....I can't seem to find one to buy that is plain and simple and the right colors.

You guys have such awesome stuff! Our stuff is mostly used and because we lack a nursery I haven't taken any "baby room" pictures. Maybe I'll get motivated and will sidecar the crib, have DD stick the monkey wall stickers around it, and take some pictures. I could definitely take a picture of the diaper stash now, though.

Tankgirl, I love the zombie onesies!

Coconut, love the dinosaur shoes! Boy clothes are just so much cuter than the frilly pink crap for girls.

Baby is in our room, no nursery here either. I haven't had one since my third

crashing from sept.

slimkins - HOLY CRAP! Can I tell you how envious i am of that incredible Kate Quinn stash of yours?? Shoot, Id have to take out a small loan for all that. I have ONE, and I want MORE MORE MORE! They are the perfect onsie. I just wish they were more affordable. :

mammatoabunch - I want that bag. Is it lined/to function as a diaper bag?? we got a timbuktu to do the whole unisex thing so both husband and i could be comfortable using it - but now that it has come...i don't like it. i want something GIRLY! can you post the link to the etsy dealer you got it from?

someone posted about wanting a wood rattle from etsy (that appears sold out)...just a suggestion, here is a company that does them too. i love their stuff!

coconut - i love your bird mobile and my MIL and i were totally inspired by that project. since i cant sew - shes working on one for me....currently shes out in the middle of nowhere at their cabin in montana..so she has found some great twigs to use. we are using this tree decal and plan to use some of the fabric from the bird mobile to make a flat profile of a bird and put him on the tree - to connect the two.

im all about making stuff - i just wish i knew how to sew. We've made our crib and upholstered fabric to the side panels, window dressings, and tons of knitting things - now im ready to move into sewing. (burp cloths, bibs, dipe wipes, etc...).

Even at the shower people really did not talk about the baby. It was more like a bbq where people kind of noticed I was pregnant and commented on it. Do I sound like I am totally giving myself a pity party?

I'm sorry. No youdon't seem like you're giving yourself a pity party. I think every mama needs a best friend to help celebrate each new life. I'm sorry you don't have that. Do you haev anyone in your life taht you could say to - I'm feeling kind of hormonal (just for effect) do you think we could get a couple of girls together and go out to breakfast before baby comes ? If you google mother blessings or blessing way, you will find lots of ideas about ways to celebrate with loved ones without a shower. I think lots of people think they aren't needed for subsequent children because we alredy have all the "gear". But it can just be about celebrating baby - everyone could write something to the new baby - or bring a book, etc...

This is our 2nd also and we don't know if we're having a boy/girl. We don't have a lot of stuff this time. But I learned how to sew and crochet this pregnancy and have been having a great time making stuff.

bird mobile getting this to balance seems impossible. I think the difference in the colors between this one and the one Coconut Chronicles shows that I'm in the desert and she's in Florida

Baby pajamas

Baby legs from etsy

jacket and hats

fitted diapers and crochet covers these diapers are like Valium to me. I like to sit and fold them and organize them over and over... it makes me calm and happy

Everyone has such great stuff! It's so fun to see it all. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, mamas, amazing beautiful things on this thread!

I am inspired. Everything for baby is used or hand me downs, but I am thrilled. I have gotten tons of freebies from my sis and friends and bought a few nice things off of Craigslist.

I did splurge and get an organic Ergo and another ring sling.
I'll take photos when our toddler naps today.

Spring.... we are having our fourth and even though others aren't as excited, we are feeling so incredibly blessed. Your new baby will be here before you know it and all the "things" won't matter so much! I always buy used... it really is the way to go! HUGS!

Chi-that mobile ROCKS! I would love to look up at that thing all day, stunning!

Because this is our 4th, and the 3rd of the same sex & season, we haven't really needed to buy much. I bought a new coming home outfit from Janie and Jack and some new tiny onesies (I LOVE onesies, btw).

But we also co-sleep, have all our old diapers, our old carseats, strollers, slings, pump, glass bottles, and all.

It's been fun looking through all your goodies, though! I'm actually kind of glad that I'm not starting fresh - it's so much work to get everything together and figure out what you'll really need. I'm glad there's no question here, because with 3 other little kids to run around after (and now being on "reduced activity"), my cluttered mind would be going a little crazy

I didn't use a pattern. I just examined a newborn gown I already had. But I'm a pretty inexperienced crafster, so I figure anyone could do it.

Sarah that little winter coat is so cute!

Tankgirl DH says to tell you he is very impressed with your style. I love the zombie onesies.

Heather your nursery is amazing. It's so crisp looking!

Annabelle that purse is gorgeous... I love etsy. So many great finds.

Pernille I am blown away by that hat and blanket.. you are so talented!

Michele wow you have some gorgeous clothes but mainly I am impressed with how organized all your things are.

I could seriously fly to NY to hug you for saying that... this entire pregnancy all I have heard is "why couldn't you be having a little girl" and "but little girls are so much more fun to shop for"

zenproof what a really neat idea... I want to see pictures when you are done!

Awesome work mama! And yes... it kind of looks like a clown exploded when I made my birds . It's because I got together with some of our new neighbors and took their kids to JoAnn Fabrics to help me pick out the fabric for each bird. It was a way for us to meet the neighbors (we moved into our house when I was about 13 weeks or so) and some of our sons future playmates. Some of them do look a bit psychedelic though

YEP... I am so envious of all you second, third, fourth and more mamas who already have everything you need and everything in its right place.

This is going to make me sound like an ungrateful wretch but my husband and I are minimalists and have been fairly astounded and a bit horrified by the sheer amount of stuff we have accumulated since the beginning of this pregnancy. Right now I am drowning in bibs (I lost count at 30), socks, blankets and expensive hand embroidered rompers that he will likely only wear once. Our shower was last weekend and I just can't bring myself to face the baby explosion going on upstairs in the "nursery" because every time I look at all the clothes and other things I keep thinking to myself this stuff could easily pay for 2 or 3 diaper stashes.

Eventually Brent and I are just going to have to sift through it all and donate as much as we can. But to be honest I would rather be weeding my garden...

I am becoming addicted to etsy or so says one of my 15y/o,'s, LOL. After 4 girls I loved shopping for boy things. Just as adorable IMO. I am very drawn to boy stuff this pregnancy, so I think baby is a boy. That would be fine w/ us. That would make 6 girls, 4 boys. Oh and on first baby stuff. Oh my goodness I had gobs of stuff my first pregnancy. It was such fun! I'd sell what you don't need to a baby resale so you can buy things you will need when baby gets bigger. Although I find it hard to minimize baby stuff, only getting good at it the last few babies

Did you get receipts for anything, seriously if you did take it back. I am still finding things from DS in 07 tucked away still with tags on that he never wore and I had less than you. Or put together a bundle and put it on ebay after the baby is here and people forgot what they got you .

I like that I don't have much to buy but at the same time I kind of miss the baby shopping. Instead I have been trying to knit for him so I feel like I am accomplishing something and using up some of my massive yarn stash.
I did break down and buy some new born diapers. We only had prefolds for DS in the early days so I picked up a few Mutt NBs. But that was months ago and since then nothing. Honestly, I still have onsies still in the original packing from DS so I can't justify spending.

We did but my mum invited this awful woman from her work to the shower who cut all the tags off the clothes and threw away all the receipts that people so graciously included !! None of us even knew she was doing that (I just thought she was sort of putting things in nice neat piles for us which struck me as weird but I didn't think anything of it at the time.)

I am just amazed... she didn't ask anyone's permission before she did all of that. But even if she hadn't, we prefer to donate it all anyway. There are so many people who are hurting from this economy right now.

My shower is a surprise, but DF has slipped a few things and I am guessing it's this weekend... LOL I didn't buy much... I did get some awesome custom made mama cloth with matching breast pads. My favorite thing for Glori are these:

I am also doing a cross stitch. I am NO WHERE NEAR DONE. But I am going to be finishing it HOPEFULLY before baby comes. I did one for DD 1 and my mom did the french knots and her name and birth date, so same tradition here. I have also been working on one for my DSD

I think they're adorable. I just meant they look like bright tropical birds. Anytime I go to Florida or California I am so amazed how colorful everything is... you really just don't get that in the desert, around here everyone and everything is muted.
