That should be good enough. And I am crafty. Enough of my pity party
I'll join your pity party for just a little bit. I also feel like people haven't given this sweet little girl in my belly much thought. (Maybe because it is our second girl-IDK) We haven't recieved any gifts or even any questions about if we need anything for this babe. I'm trying not to be let down. DD collects gifts daily for her baby sister though- it is so sweet- rocks, pinecones, sticks.
DH and I have personally bought this new babe a new lambskin, a new sling, and a few clothing fill-ins from garage sales. I am going to cast on for a hat for the new babe- even though I have so many cute hand-knits from when Hope was a newborn, I feel like this babe should have some of her own.

Coconut... the Sears Baby Book is HUGE, but it is an amazing, awesome resource! Also, you may have a spitter upper on your hands in a few weeks and all of those bibs might really come in handy. All three of my babies wore SEVERAL bibs each day.

And to the others regrading hand me downs... the tiny little babies will never know what is new for them or what was worn by big bro or big sis. Our oldest two are 5 and 4 and the 4 year old just this week asked if she could get her "own" bike. She has never once, up until now, known or cared about what she was wearing, playing with, etc.

I am feeling so much better today. I have no idea how I did it, but I did a product shoot for this company and I got a whole boxful of new pants for Elijah and the new baby, so now I have something to share How freaking cute are those babies? And the pants are great too

And here's a couple of my favorite outfits that we've been given so far: One, Two, Three, Four
Those birds are adorable Maybe I'll get my sons to help me make sooem of those!

The oufits are so cute! I love the dinosaur themed one with the slippers!!

Take care!

thanks to this thread I finally bit the bullet and painted with the help of a friend

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2490/...7e1b95.jpg?v=0 the batteries in the camera died as I was taking the picture, so no flash.. it's a very pale blue. My mom is coming over to help me steam clean the carpet. That's as far as I've gotten

I took a few photos yesterday and am just getting the chance to post them! All of the clothes are hand me downs and I got the baskets for $5 each at Joann's. The colorful quilt on my bed was $10 at the Goodwill, I shop there almost weekly.

This is SO cute, but an Arizona baby will never get the chance to wear it in August, LOL!

Random outfits from my sis, he may wear the striped blue one coming home from the hospital.
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...s/IMG_0967.jpg

Baskets holding his stuff, on top of dressers that hold DDs' clothes.
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b5...s/IMG_0976.jpg

And just for fun, our little DD in one of her first cloth diapers, she breaks out with the cheesy smile when she sees the camera!

Everyone has such great stuff, I love getting a peek into other peoples' homes. I am thrilled with these used clothes and am so excited to meet my little guy!

I am in awe at how organized that looks. It has tags. Seriously, I am lucky if ours stay in the right baskets in the closet. (my toddler pulls it all out on a daily basis)

Yep, that quilt was a steal, it came in a big matching quilted tote bag... but I won't be taking it on picnics, it is totally staying on our bed, LOL!

The baskets are organized for now.... I'm planning on having my 5 1/2 year old do lots of the putting away of baby stuff. I think the tags will help her. I am totally training her to do laundry.

I knitted this up in the past two days for my little one.

A sleep sac and a matching hat!

Now I'm just trying to find a newborn shirt to match.

and my born at home onsie, but I'm cutting off the bottom and making it a regular shirt. Its been dyed a light yellow too.

I haven't bought much for this baby, since it is our third and we just don't need a lot. We don't know the baby's sex, but we have a son and a daughter, so clothes are much of an issue, either.

I did buy some used newborn fitteds, though, and a few blank clothing-items (a sleep sack and a few kimono-style shirts) to dye. I also dyed prefolds in three sizes. As I was going through all the kids' old clothes, I was ASTOUNDED by (a) how many mostly-white onesies we had acquired and (b) how dingy and gross they all looked. So I dyed those, too.

I posted photos on my blog, if you want to check them out. I was pretty happy with the results.

The clothes stash!:

We were gifted a TON of clothes after this photo was taken. He'll probably never wear the same thing twice for a while I : hand-me-downs!

We are pretty much re-using the baby stuff we have left over from when our daughter was a baby. The other things we still need to buy are going to be purchased this coming weekend

I haven't taken a picture of the diaper stash still, nor the thousands of outfits, lol, but here are the baby shower gifts (I had a very small shower with 5 friends).

Love these!!!! and I am so thrilled you got to have a shower
post #59 of 63
Because I don't want to work, I'll play... This weekend I traded for credit at "Other Mother's," a consignment shop. They didn't take a lot of my stuff, which was annoying (I had loads of hand-me-down maternity clothes from a skinny friend that didn't fit me). I ended up with $6 in credit and paid an additional $7 for:

-An under the bed box
-A puppy dog bib
-A My Brest Friend exactly like this: http://www.babology.com/c=0fNsMp8JGy...nnel__713.html
-A mirror for the car seat like this but in green and brown: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=2310556

I also went to Sears with a gift card and got 6 shirts in 0-3 months size for the cord healing stage, some socks, and an old lady zippered robe for the hospital: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...P?keyword=robe I'm cutting off that tassel, lol! I can't find pics for the shirts online!

Finally, I went to Babies R Us with gift cards and got lanolin, milk storage bags for freezing, microwave sterilizing bags (I figured I could try them), more socks, and a mattress pad... nothing worth searching for pictures for, lol!

My aunts threw me a baby shower yesterday, and I got a whole lot of gifts!

I also bought a bunch of things on those deal-a-day websites and on amazon, as well as gifts that were shipped to me. I'll take pictures of those tomorrow.
