What kind of pajamas are you going to wear with new baby?

I can't remember if I just went topless at first with my other newborns. We'll be co-sleeping and nursing. I don't want anything complicated, but I'm wondering if there isn't a better option than topless.

Long men's t-shirt!

I can't sleep without my shoulders covered, so I need something to wear. I splurged and bought myself 2 sets of nursing pjs from Motherware. I love them! This way I won't have to sleep with a shirt all bunched up under my side in order to nurse my baby.

I have been sleeping naked since I emerged from the womb- I hate clothes! But this question has been in my mind because I don't want to leak all over the sheets and we will have a lot of guests pp. I may try to find some larger gowns at Ross that I can easily pop a boob out of or just wear my blue canoe bras.

It all depends. I leaked horribly for months and month with my first. I slept with cloth diapers stuffed in a Bravado bra. For # 2 I didn't leak too badly. . I think I also found that those newer silicon I think they're called Lily Pads? worked well at night. I've got a bunch of nightgowns that button down the front for this time. . I should get myself another pair of those Lily Pads.

I have a lightweight Lanz nightgown that buttons up the front. I just leave it unbuttoned in bed! I have a flannel one for the winter.

T-shirt and shorts with cloth diapers tucked around my boobs is what I usually do.

I am another major leaker, so I wear a nursing sports bra with nursing pads and a tshirt and pj pants... pretty much what I wear normally except with the additional the stuff for leakage. I could NEVER just go topless... our entire bed would be SOAKED with breastmilk.

Shorts and a cheap nursing tank from target.

I actually got some nursing PJs this time, because I was sick of wrestling with a t-shirt, or being naked and leaking. Maybe just a nursing bra, or tank. Not a t-shirt, and not a normal nightgown.

Topless was not even an option until waaaaay past 1 year for me. I am like a hose when I am nursing-lol (well not now ...) So I was in nursing bras with pads, then panties and maybe some shorts, depending on whether or not I was still bleeding from PP...

I really like the sleep bras from Motherhood along with some shorts. I also have 2 pairs of nursing pjs from Motherwear for when we have guests or something.

With DD, I slept in Glamourmom nursing tanks. There's no way I could sleep without nursing pads on at night...I'd leak all over the place.

Now I want to get nursing pj's! They sound great for co-sleeping! I haven't even thought about this, and have absolutely no memory for what I wore with either DD. Probably some sort of pj pant, and a tank top... I do like the nursing sleep bras, loose, easy to pull down, plenty of room for stuffing!

I normally sleep in a short nightgown (looks more like a v-neck tshirt), but I don't like that for nursing because then you've gotta hike it all the way up.

So, last time I got a 2 nursing pjs from motherwear, and I really like one (a light blue cross-front gown). It was very lightweight so it was comfortable all summer in my pp heat flashes. Actually, there were many days I just wore it all day! The other ones are a 2 pc set of capris and a sleeveless top that has the pull-up panel for nursing in the front. I didn't like this one as much, there just seemed to be so much more material, it was too much. If I can find them, I'll probably give them a try again.

I slept in a bravado (original) bra for 14 months. Not only did it keep the nursing pads in place for the first few months, it kepy my ginormous boobs out of my armpits too. For me, the motherwear "sleep" bras were SO not worth the money, I fell right out of them, there was no where near enough support.

I usually wear a nursing nightgown (the kind that is like a large t-shirt, but has the nursing slits). Last night I went topless with a towel under me because I felt so engorged and didn't want to wear a bra, or leak all over my nightgown lol. Baby loved it because he could latch himself on whenever it was close enough! LOL!

count me in

With dd it was warm so I just wore a nursing bra with mega breastpads/cloth diapers/any clean dry cloth I could find and then a t-shirt or tank top to pull up or down

With this babe it'll be cold in our bedroom so I'm thinking nursing tank with long sleeved cotton knit cardi or very low cut/unbuttoned long-sleeved shirt. Of course I only have one nursing tank at the moment so that'll be clean like. . . 3% of the time I need it. Hmmm. . . maybe I need to work on this. Fast.

I will probably just wear a nursing tank to bed. Or a sleep bra with a tank over it.

Thanks for all the ideas! There are some cute nursing nightgowns at Motherwear that aren't that expensive, so I might get one or two of those. First I think I'll check at Target and see if there isn't something there for less that would serve the purpose.

I bought a couple of cheap nursing sleep bras & camis from motherhood and target that I plan on using until I see how leaky I will be. I'm definitely going to pick up some of those silicone lily pads as well.
