Oh my gosh I totally forgot my night to bring Jessie food! Oh man...seriously I need a better calendar system...I am sooooo soooo sorry!!!!!

Jessie can I bring you dinner tomorrow night? I REALLY want to! I don't have a vehicle today otherwise I'd bring you something right now!!

Oh, Amy don't worry about it! Heck, I appreciate the thought as much as the action! If you really want to you can, but please don't feel like you have to

Thanks for the compliments I've been thinking about having a little welcoming party for Ben, for anyone who wants to come meet him, snuggle him, smell his soft baby hair... but I don't know. I'm still in paranoid mode and would anyone really even be interested in coming? Maybe I'll just skip the welcoming party and everyone can just meet Benny at the picnic.

I am going to need someone to remind me in four months how hard his pregnancy was and how awful the nicu stay was. M is having the vas. done in Nov. and we're both already having 2nd thoughts about that perm. step. Some one kick me. I do NOT want to be preg. again, ever.

Tomorrow it is!!! Does your crew eat pizza? Any faves or disklikes? Or maybe something cold instead since it'll be hotter than the 4th of July in Hell tomorrow (or the 3rd of July since it will be....). Whewy, hope everyone is staying cool today....I'm cursing our horribly ill insulated home.

Hey when I'm out tomorrow I'll come get the vacuum too, Allison if you still have it.

Forgot to look for the new thread : Jessie congrats again! I'd love to see little Ben again, but you don't need to have a party for that. I need to bring over baby gift--maybe I can take Ana sometime in the next week or 2? Lilly is really wanting some playtime.

Lilly's going to summer camp next week! Just 1-4 pm with the art teacher she already knows but I'm looking forward to my quite afternoons!

hmmm knew there was something I wanted to respond to on the June thread, what was it! Welcome new person whose name eludes me? Feel free to ask more adoption questions!

Hope everyone is staying cool!

Pizza is my kids' favorite food ever. It's one thing they all agree on always. Cold would be nice, too. Really, we're not picky! That's so nice of you!

It's sooo hot tonight. Inside, anyway. There's a nice breeze outside, but our house isn't set up right to catch it. We put the cats in the basement tonight because every time I open the windows they try to escape and it's just too hot to turn this house into an oven.

Jessie...congrats on Baby Ben. He is so sweet and I am so glad he is better. Things are crazy here...having a tough time with Brianna this summer. She fell in the garage and chipped 2 of her front teeth. 1 tooth is better but the other 1 is dying. They won't do a root canal but we are making sure she doesn't have an infection in that tooth. It is loose and it may either fall out on it's own or if it becomes infected they will need to pull it.

Then the other day she broke her foot and is in this huge cast. She is having a tough time with it. The cast shoe they gave her is way too big and it was the only size they had. I spent 2 hours yesterday calling around for a cast shoe...finally found one online that they will overnight to me...should get it today and then she will be able to walk better.

We go to Northern, NY on the 14th for 8 days. So life seems so crazy this month.

Congrats again Jessie!

Awesome Jessie! Will you email me your address and phone number so I can confirm with you later this afternoon?

Thanks! amy@amycrawfordphotography.com

Hope Lily enjoys her art camp next week Amoreena, it sounds like fun!

Amy, thank you for dinner! The kids loved the pizza

Lisa, oh my goodness, what a rough time you've had! Poor baby Brianna. I hope her foot heals fast! Good luck with the teeth, too. When Ali fell in February two of her teeth had to come out, one was severely traumatised and another had some minor trauma. The two which were damaged but stayed in are still slightly discolored, but otherwise pose no issues for her.

Amoreena, summer camp sounds fun! I hope Lilly has a great time. Ana would love to come for a play date anytime!

My mom is going home on Tuesday. We're doing well here, settling in with baby Ben. I hope everyone has a great Fourth!

Happy Fourth everyone!

Not much to update around here. Glad things are setting with the babe Jessie. Let's set up a playdate after summer camp. Still need to bring Ben's baby gift and would love to visit, but don't want to overwhelm you! Is there anything you need with your mom going?

I totally forgot to sub to the new thread!

Jessie, Ben is gorgeous, I'm so excited for you! I'm planning to start a new pot of completely onion-free chicken soup as soon as it cools down enough to have something simmering in the kitchen for a while, hopefully tomorrow evening! So if you'd like, we can bring over a couple big jars sometime within a couple days of that.

Amoreena thank you again so much! I think I have about a bazillion questions. I need to start calling lawyers tomorrow. I think I'll PM you again so I don't clog up this thread with all that stuff hehe.

Lisa, hopefully the cast doesn't go all the way up her leg. the neighbor girl across the street was skateboarding and broke both of her arms. one cast is all the way up her arm the other is just around her wrist. She is miserable as she can't do anything and is 12ish. no swimming, biking, etc.

If it is up her leg, find a peacock feather or a really long feather to help with the itchy-ness of it. I broke my leg when I was like 5 and had a cast from toes to thigh and the feather was a life saver!

It goes up to her knee. So far she hasn't complained of itchiness but who knows...she was up 3 x last night and had to nurse 1x out of that. We are still nursing...she is 22 months old but in the past few weeks she has weaned herself of night nursing and we have only done it 2x in 2 weeks. She still likes to do it morning, nap time and bedtime though. We are heading to the library for the summer reading program if it doesn't rain today.

Did we ever set date & place for our picnic?

Anyone interested in meeting me @ Orchards Park Thursday to play?
Jessie, we'd love to see you, but Lilly is at art camp in the PM and I've got a Dr. apt. in the AM.

Shall we pick a day for Ana to come play next week? And maybe I can stay and visit for a bit when I pick her up if you're up to having me

Aww, a gift! You didn't have to do that Hope to see you tomorrow!

I think I'll be okay. Ben is a snuggler, does not like not being held, but he does like the wrap, especillay if he can touch my skin while in it {which can be awkward if you're at Home Depot and realize as you're buckling baby in to his car seat that your boob has been half exposed the whole hour you were in the store}. He has hit the "2 wk spurt" and is nursing almost constantly right now, but M is off til Thurs. and then has all of next week off. I wouldn't turn down visitors though

That is so nice of you!

And reminds me: Do I have dishes here to return? I know I have one of Allison's ~ any one else?

Ben is awesome He's so perfectly awesome. M & I are both having trouble with knowing he's the last. He makes it really easy to forget how rotten pregnancy is.

I think he has yeast though. Poor baby bottom looks awful. I need to find some GSE & probiotics, I think. Never had yeast in a baby so young before. Darn antibiotics thrashed the flora in his little gut.

Jessie I specifically sent dishes I do not want back. So keep em, toss them, goodwill them I don't care. Mick all ready gave me Angies dish back so I will give it to her next time I see her.
