I *may* be joining you all...test pics - what do you think?

Today I was supposed to start AF (9 day LP for the last 4-5 cycles) and it's 10dpo today. I didn't have any spotting even, so I tested with an Equate this morning with SMU and got this:

http://lh5.ggpht.com/_kPZkpKtVcA0/Sk.../OMG%20001.jpg

Then I started freaking out because here is my chart -
http://forums.ovusoft.com/chart.asp?id=kalamos23

My baby girl turns 1 on Friday and we weren't planning on #2 until she turned 18m or 2 years... plus with when we DTD, it would have to be an act of God (I must have ovulated later than I thought - though I had REALLY strong O pains and the OPK test line was the darkest I have ever had - twice as dark as the control line or DH's swimmers somehow slipped through and stayed alive for 5+ days.)

So I went out and bought a million tests and peed on a $tree and another Equate and got BFNs.

So.... I don't know if I am pregnant for sure or not, but I have had a lot of the same symptoms as with DD - flushed and feeling really hot was the main symptom with her. If I am pregnant, I'd be due March 14, and our anniversary is March 18th, so it would be kind of nice :-)

What do you all think? Btw, it's killing me to have to wait until tomorrow to test!!

This would explain why I have been SO dang tired the last few days though - I've had horrible insomnia and craving protein, but DD is a crappy sleeper so I figured that was just it, plus it's usually a PMS symptom for me.

Also, any advice on nursing through pregnancy? DD gets 95%+ of her nutrition from me still.

I could have written this post, almost, except my "inconclusive" was a Dollar Tree and I went out and bought a FRER. No mistaking that one, for sure.

If I remember correctly (and I should because it hasn't been that long!), my crappy + with my youngest was an equate. I should have learned my lesson about cheap tests then, but no...I did it again this time.

I'd say get a digital or a FRER, test with FMU and get a conclusive result. If you're ready for that...

That definitely looks positive! Congratulations! Maybe you ovulated twice this cycle? It happens occasionally, which is why it's recommended that you wait at least 3 days before dtd unprotected after you ovulate. Though I know someone who got pregnant from 6 days before she ovulated!

As for nursing, I have no advice. This will be my first time tandeming too. My daughter is a little older, 23 months, but still gets more of her nutrition from me than food too. (If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say still over 75% most days is from nursing.) I think it's different for every woman and I know some women who have had no problems at all, some who found it painful/uncomfortable, some whose milk dried up and so there wasn't a lot of choice for the kid, etc. So it's probably really going to depend on the kid!

That looks like a BFP to me! My dr. said a false positive is nearly impossible, but false negatives happen all the time....so, I'm thinkin' you're pregnant.

Congratulations! Can't wait for you to make it official and come join us! ::::

Wanted to add - I just took another Equate and a $tree and there was a hint of a line on both - so either it is a chemical pg or just really early and I'm having spotting - I dunno. I still feel hot and shaky like I did when I was pg with DD, normally when AF starts I am freezing. That being said, I slept REALLY well last night, and I usually do once AF starts too, so I dunno.

Since your LP is so short, it may just be too early to get a really positive test. FWIW, I found out I was pregnant with my now 1 year old ds by thinking I was starting my period, but then it didn't get any darker than just reddish-brownish spotting. Could be implantation spotting?

Hmmm....I can't wait to hear what's happening. I'm hoping it's just spotting. :

Me too, spotting started last night...oh boy, it's going to be a roller coaster day. I always always spot pink, brown, and even red with all my pregnancies right when af is due...for up to a week. So I'll know soon!!!

I just want to jump in here!! Don't give up hope until it is real and true flow. Last week I was so sure I was out. I have been spotting every single cycle before AF and this cycle was no different in that aspect. I stared spotting at 8dpo. I tested at 8dpo and 10dpo...both BFNs. Then I continued to spot but on the morning of 12dpo, i noticed that my temp stayed elevated when it would have normally started to drop at 11dpo. I POAS right as soon as I temped that day (still spotting) and BFP!! Imagine my shock!! The spotting has since stopped and I have had a blood test confirming that I am indeed pregnant!! So..it does happen. Hang in there!! Seems strange that two tests would be faint lines. Keeping my : crossed for you that this is not chemical but, in fact a real and true pregnancy!! Good luck!!

So... like what would you consider spotting? I've had light flow/heavy spotting - usually I gush on the first day - lots of cramping too but that's pretty normal.

Oh, and I have been pretty nauseous and exhausted and winded too, but I don't know if that is bc it was a pregnancy or because it IS a pregnancy, if you know what I mean... *fingers crossed*

Implantation spotting is different for every one. I know some ladies who had what seemed like a regular period but they ended up being pregnant. I've read somewhere that if your period is drastically different than normal (far lighter generally, but even heavier), it could be a symptom of pregnancy.

Have you tried testing again? Like Geigerin said, false positives are very rare, though evaps are a little more common. But your picture doesn't look like an evap. (Evaps tend to not have colour, and often come up after the time limit.) Also, the ladies I know of who had chemical pregnancies all had very negative tests by the time their periods started, so if you're still seeing lines maybe that's a good sign. :

My spotting was mainly only there when I wiped. only very, very little came out onto a panty liner. Like the blood just brushed the pad from my hairs. (I know TMI but, I want to be very specific for you) It seemed at one point that it was getting heavier and more red than a pink but, then it started to lighten and finally went away. I hope this helps to explain a little better. it is just what happened in my case. I am sure it is different for everyone. Again good luck!!

I've had both a chemical and another pregnancy with breakthrough bleeding. With the chemical the second test I took was negative and I got unmistakable, bright red, gushing bleeding soon after. The breakthrough bleeding was very different. It lasted almost a week, started out very light and got a bit heavier, at one point it was definitely red and I thought I must be starting my period then but it lightened up after that, almost exactly like skeeter30 said.
I hope you know soon, either way!

Well, 2 tests this morning are BFNs, so I'm out. I think it must have beena chemical pregnancy :-(
