Prodromal Labor?

I am 37W tomorrow. This is my second baby and my mw told me that I would very likely have prodromal labor. She explained to me what it is like but I am not sure I was really listening. Today I was having some contractions that seemed stronger than BH and were accompanied by a pulling sensation down into my inner thighs. They didn't feel painful at all and went away after a few minutes.

Does this sound like prodromal labor or just BH?

Prodromal labor is feels like the real thing, but then the contractions eventually fizzle out. It can last for weeks.
BH are not the same: they are milder and don't usually hurt in my experience.

This is the first pregnancy that I have experienced prodromal labor. For me, they feel like "real" contractions--painful, I have to breathe through, but they never get stronger or closer together, and they stop.

For me, prodromal labour is quite painful, like real labour contractions, but there is no sense of momentum... things don't get stronger, longer, closer together. And you wake up still pregnant in the morning. :

Well, that sounds like no fun.... I guess that's not what was happening with me today Thanks for clearing that up for me. Hopefully prodromal labor is not in my future

I've had it, but never terrible painful. A bit of a crampy feeling and pressure in the cerivcal area (so at least I know they are probably doing something). Been having contractions like that all day, actually. Had them for weeks with ds2. WISH they'd turn into the real thing now!

... Well, that's discouraging. Oh well. I only have a few weeks left, anyway.
