Help - reviews are confusing me

Okay I really like the Zolowear ring slings, but on the review boards the silk brocade got better reviews than did the stretch cotton. It seems to me that the stretch cotton would be more comfortable. True the silk brocade is gorgeous, but for comfort --- I don't know??

Any help/advice?? I want to make the right choice...

anything with stretch in it is going to have limited usefulness. nice for newborns and small infants, but not very supportive or comfortable once baby is bigger/heavier.

Ahhhh...that would make sense. The stretch cotton fabric did look thinner. ALOT thinner. And I had wondered if a heavy baby might sag in it or if said heavy baby would ruin the fabric's elasticity after awhile. So I guess between my tendency to have large babies and the fact that this LO is coming in late fall, the silk brocade might be my better choice...? It is sooo pretty.

Stretchy fabric makes a great newborn wrap carrier. On a bigger baby you want woven fabrics. With a very heavy kid (older baby or toddler especially), something that goes over both shoulders and across the back or front for support rather than a sling.
