Baby Wheezing remedy help?

My 7 month old has a wheeze with his cold. We've seen the doc & everything and are using a cool mist humidifier at night.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what else might help? We've done sitting in the bathroom with hot steamy showers to try to help too.

He just has a bad wheeze. He's only had 2 colds so far and last time around we had the nebulizer machine from the Doc.....it took him 3-4 weeks to get rid of his wheeze ;(

Wheeze

Could be either chemically related or food related. Being that you are posting in the natural living section I highly doubt you are using any toxic chemicals within your home. You might want to try and see if the wheezing gets worse after a particular food, etc. Here is Dr. Doris Rapp's website. She is an expert in childhood allergies and their symptoms. She has also written a number of books you might find helpful.

I have to run the Cool Mist Humidifier for ds all day or he get's it from the dry hot air from the heater(we have central air here in Fl.)It is set for 65%(the maximum). On days when the heat isn't on(we do have them in the winter here!) even when hte humidifier doesn't kick on he is fine.We had a cold night 2 nights ago and the heat kept going. The humidifier ran dry before morning and man he was weezing bad! That is how I know it all has to do witht the dry air for us! Good luck!

Cool Mist Humidifier

Thanks I've been using the cool mist humidifier at nights. I will try for daytime too.

Luke is doing much better! He just has a little wheeze now. Looks like he'll get over it faster than last time which we're all thankful for!
