I figure I have another 2 weeks of work left and I have TONS to do.

And almost no motivation to do it.

Somebody give me a kick in the pants!

I can't even imagine trying to work at his point. I space out way too much to be productive.

I have 9 days until my due date..........am really hoping for a short week this week too and quite a few months off ....... but it seems better for me to be working then sitting at home wondering when I get to meet this babe

good luck to you..... and we're in the same boat!

I just finished work this week but man did it drag on forever it seemed! I found that once I realized how little time I had to do my last large project, I got an incredible second wind that pushed me through. I kept focusing on how wonderful it would be to be done with work afterwards.

{{{HUGS}}} My sil is due at the end of July like I am and is miserable at work. I can't imagine being THIS pregnant and having to deal with work stuff on top of everything else too.

I finished with work in early June and somehow they are still calling me for help and such, I can't even think to answer their questions!! Motivation and I are total strangers these days. I need a nap just thinking about it. I'm sure that doesn't help motivate you one bit, but just think you are almost done!!!!

Well, I am "working" right now, if that tells you anything.

I am ready to be done and home with my babies! I also feel slightly guilty because a lot of my friends are losing their jobs and I'm being a kind of a slacker at mine. I AM getting everything done... but I'm not taking any extra initiative or anything.

I'm having a hard time staying motivated at work, too. We've been kind of slow, but I've also worked hard to close out open cases and seem to have been a little extra efficient at doing so, because all my old on-going work is finished. And I'm trying not to take on new cases at this point because my co-worker will just have to take them all over once I go into labor, so she is just opening anything new that comes along.

So that leaves me with very little real work, and mostly pushing papers from one side of the desk to the other, trying to organize files, sharpen all my pencils...

I don't know what I was thinking when I made my schedule for July! My last scheduled day is my due date (Wednesday)! I don't know what's up with my boss; a few weeks ago my back was hurting a bit and she practically begged me to go home early, so I did. Well last night I was contracting and my hips hurt and I was miserable and she got all snotty and wouldn't let me go home. It was a pretty miserable shift last night! I am really hoping to have this baby so I can start my FMLA and not have to worry about working my last 2 shifts!!

Lately I have been catching myself staring at my computer screen... Not exactly productive. I am supposed to work all next week at least or more if I go late. . .I dont even know if it will be possible. I feel like such a zombie when I am there. I do at home too, but my husband expects it and knows how to handle it, whereas my co-workers dont. I cant wait for 2 months off!!!

I hear you, mama! I am 8 days away from my leave... which includes 4 days (96 hours) still on call. The thought of dragging my aching body out of bed in the middle of the night! May the end come soon for us! :

Ugh, I feel for you, veganmama. I finished the semester the beginning of May, but I had no motivation the ENTIRE term. It's my first, so I'm sure that the excitement of it all was getting in the way. But I've been teaching an online summer class and I admit that I couldn't be less interested. Here's to a speedy finish for you.

Hey, if there's any pants kicking going on, please send some my way. I had intended to work up to due date (7/29) or delivery, whichever came first. We are in the process of moving the entire office (scheduled for 7/15) and I am also finishing up some major projects because I'm leaving this position after the baby is born and moving half way across the country!

I think I would be more motivated if I was coming back after maternity leave. As it is, I'm spending a lot of time focusing on moving prep, and what little energy I have is sucked up by things like packing boxes and answering emails about phone lines.

Ugh. Sometimes, I forget I'm having a baby in a few weeks.
