On my 5th soaker...question (xposted in yarn crafts)

I have 4 soakers and a pair of longies all sized small/infant. Both of my previous babies had huge thighs within about 2 months of birth (slightly less than 20lbs by 6 mos.). How many should I make before starting on medium/large sizes??

TIA!

It sounds like you have plenty of shortie soakers, but may want another pair of longies, due to your LO being due in the beginning of winter. We have pretty much always had two shorties and two longies--"one to wear, one to air."

Thanks Melissa. I have been debating about the current pair on the needles. I could easily add legs, I suppose.

On to mediums .

i actually suggest maybe a sleep sac?
Also, newborn poo is pretty runny, esp if ebf- so you may want to consider more than 2 pairs of longies- depending on what else you are using. I found that the Bummis whisper pants were awesome for newborns- the pull on ones- they are so super trim. What are you using for clothing? will the soakers fit under pants or are you going to use babylegs? ( a sleepsac would be really nice over the soakers)
