They'll be 17 mo. apart- anyone else with a babe?

I'm really excited and at the same time I have no idea what to expect since every one I know and in my family always spaced them 2 years or more apart. So is there anyone else is in-like situation?

And a couple of questions if you've BTDT. We're doing baby-led-weaning with DD and she still gets A LOT from milk. I've heard the milk changes/dries up in pregnancy. Is DD going to be o.k.?

I've had a + test too, but am in a little bit of limboland because of a low beta.

If I remain pregnant, mine will be 18 months apart and I have the same concerns you do about milk. I want to be sure that my (current) little one gets as much breast milk as he needs for as long as he needs. I found the LLL website had some helpful information on breastfeeding in pregnancy, but still didn't address the issue of having a baby who is still NOURISHED by breastmilk and being pregnant. I suppose if your milk does dry up, there's nothing you can really do about it anyway. I think the vital thing is to be sure that you are eating well and staying hydrated. I figured out at www.ahealthyme.com that I need something like 3400 calories a day at my weight to breastfeed and be pregnant.

I don't have a babe right now (waiting for a bfp and my youngest two will be just over 3 years apart when babe is born) but I only had 9 1/2 months between #3 and #4. I did lose my milk but was only pumping because DD3 was born at 30wks and couldn't nurse.

Good luck, mama!

DD1 and DS are 15 months apart. DS and DD2 are 17 months apart. My milk dried up about 3 months into each new pregnancy, but I think it had a lot to do with me working full-time as well.
